Well, this weekend had been a thing that happened. So, when Tony woke up this morning he let himself feel embarrassed for everything, groaning as he covered his face with his hands. And of course pictures of himself as a teen had been sent to Rhodey because JARVIS was a traitor like that.

Bastard.

The only good thing to come out of this was the chance to pour the extra Bud Lite Limes down the drain as he cleaned up after his idiotic attempt at a teen party. "You could have a least tried to stop me," he muttered as he watched the offensive 'beer' go down the drain.

"Of course I could have, sir," JARVIS agreed.

Tony just sighed and went to grab a garbage can to continue cleaning.

There was a slightly sheepish sounding cough from the doorway. "Did I really crash into the punchbowl last night?"

Tony held up a shard of glass to assure him it was real. "My mother loved that thing," he said with a sigh. "You okay?"

Maybe he was eyeing Steve in case those bruises were still there. What of it?

Steve looked absolutely guilt-stricken, but the bruises were gone. "Tony, I'm so sorry. I'll try to replace it."

That got Tony to chuckle and shake his head. "Don't worry about it. It's just stuff. I let Barton and Hulk live in my childhood home, I expect a few accidents with the antiques."

"Yeah, but it's stuff your mom liked," Steve insisted. "That matters."

"I have plenty of stuff to remember her by," Tony assured him. "It was just a bowl."

That probably cost an ungodly amount.

Steve still looked fairly miserable about it. "Well, let me help you clean up, at least."

"If you insist."

Tony mostly looked amused at him.

"You're much less angry as an adult," he teased.

Steve blushed. "Yeah, well, a lot's changed."

Which just got a full body laugh out of Tony. "It's okay, I was a complete asshole at that age. Only Rhodey tolerated me."

"I had Bucky, who by then was already an expert in finding me in alleys," Steve said ruefully.

"Only you," Tony replied with a sigh. "Did you at least find a place to sleep?"

"The park bench, where my righteousness didn't keep me as warm as I was hoping," Steve said.

Which just made Tony crack up again. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. That's not funny."

It was hilarious.

"Did you catch Barton's hair? He looked like he should have been stoned 24/7."

Steve burst out laughing. "It was terrible. Possibly worse than yours."

"Hey, you had ample warning for mine! His was out of left field."

Poor Clint. No respect from his teammates.

"True enough," Steve said. "Don't suppose we got pictures of this greatness?"

Tony glanced up at the nearest of JARVIS' cameras. "Apparently Rhodey asked for pictures and someone complied."

Judas.

Steve groaned. "I only meant of Clint."

"Maybe if you ask JARVIS really nicely?" Maybe don't check your texts from Jan for a little bit, Steve. It might be for the best.

"JARVIS?" Steve asked hopefully. "Can you help a guy out?"

"Regrettably, I have already sent most images to Lieutenant Colonel Rhodes and Ms. Van Dyne."

He did sound apologetic, though.

"Don't know what Rhodey needed them. He lived that era with me," Tony muttered.

"Explains why my messages have been going crazy all morning," Steve grumbled.

"Jan missed out on the time our Steve was tiny," Tony offered like that helped. "Granted, he still wasn't as tiny as you were this weekend."

IT WAS SO ADORABLE AND ANGRY.

Steve shook his head. "It was strange being back that way. The world was less loud and a lot less colorful."

It was possible some of his fights were started because he didn't hear everything.
