Ballroom of Stark Towerlet, Saturday Afternoon

So, maybe the whole getting Steve up to speed on roller skating in the ballroom wasn't the best plan. But ice skating was happening without a lot of hot chocolate being provided, so there they were.

And now Steve had a sprained wrist that he was downplaying like his last name was actually Stark or something. Which was rude. Sure, it'd heal with record speed and all, but the principle of the matter!

"Are you sure we don't need to go to the clinic? Or maybe just get Don?"

Which was good as Tony was consistently getting distracted by that. He maybe needed to keep poor Steve safe.

"I'm still here," Steve said, all quiet affection.

"You're still here," Tony agreed. "Sorry. I'm a bit of a control freak."

A bit?

Steve smiled. "I've noticed."

"I'd say I'd get that under control, but let's be honest here..."

He would never.

"It's who you are," Steve agreed with another kiss.

"Like you being bullheaded," he teased.

"I prefer to call it principled," Steve said, nipping Tony's shoulder.

"Oh, is that it?" he asked with a little laugh, brushing his fingers through Steve's hair.

Steve closed his eyes, nuzzling into Tony's hand like a cat.

He hummed in response, scratching at Steve's scalp. "You're amazing, you know that?"

"Am I?" Steve asked with a smile. "I don't feel that amazing."

"You don't?" Tony asked. "Well, clearly I'm screwing something up up then."

"You are making me feel like my nerves are on fire," Steve added.

"Good way?" Tony had to tease.

[heroic_jawline]

"The best way," Steve murmured.

[imafuturist]

"Gorgeous man," Tony replied, keeping that up.

Steve sighed, then opened his eyes up to watch Tony raptly.

"Look at you," Tony murmured, really enjoying how Steve looked in that moment.

Steve gazed back, smiling softly. "You like what you see?"

"With you?" Tony asked, tilting his head for a kiss. "Always."

Steve kissed him back. "I love you."

Tony forgot all about the bottle as he moved down onto his forearms to keep kissing him. Because clearly Steve needed it.

Just Steve.

"Still here," Steve said, "and so are you."

This got very sweet despite the complete lack of choloate-licking.

"Maybe I'm just enjoying the moment for a change," Tony murmured.
