Tony's Workshop in the Tiniest Version of the Stark Tower, Friday Evening

Tony had meant to do something nice for Steve after they got back from their class and all the snow involved in it. He'd really meant to. But instead he'd immediately gotten pulled into a project after a phone call from his R&D department back in New York, needing a solution before Pepper got an ulcer from the stress.

Which meant he went straight to the lab to work it out. And then that turned into tinkering with his dozens of other Stark Industries based projects in various states of completion.

And then from there, he was working on a version of the suit. Mark... look, the number wasn't important. The important thing was that he'd forgotten the original plan. Which he'd realize at some point, right?

Steve came wandering downstairs around dinner time because he was missing his husband...and then forgot to say hello because a focused Tony in his work coveralls was pretty distracting. So Steve just stood in the doorway and ogled for a bit.

Excellent Friday activity, if he said so himself.

Did it make up for Tony completely forgetting the world outside the lab? Hopefully it did.

Tony made a disgruntled noise, unzipping them and shrugging his arms free to tie the sleeves around his waist for better movement as he leaned into the guts of an armor.

Steve made a happy little noise and kept watching.

Tony was just ignoring the purpose of coveralls and getting the tank top he had all greasy. Because he was In The Zone.

And it just happened like that.

Steve watched, eyes sparkling, for a good ten minutes. "Tony?" he finally said.

"Hmm?" Tony didn't move from where he was threading wires through s particularly annoying spot.

"Dinner," Steve reminded him.

"Dinner?" It couldn't be that late, right? He looked over at the clock with a frown. "...shit."

"You're busy, but you should come up for air," Steve said.

"Right, sorry," Tony said, stretching out his back. "What has my lovely husband prepared?"

He meant ordered.

Steve grinned. "JARVIS got us Korean from...somewhere. It felt like spicy soup weather."

"Oh, that sounds perfect," Tony sighed. "We should go there sometime, you know."

"To Korea?" Steve said.

"Seoul is supposed to be amazing," Tony said like it was a normal suggestion to make.

"It's so far away," Steve said.

"And cold," Tony agreed. "Maybe in the spring."

Steve nodded. "That could be fun." He smiled. "You can tie it to a conference and get brownie points with Pepper."

"Oh, I love the way you think," Tony said with a grin.

Steve came in for a long, slow kiss.

Shh, Tony was very distracting right now.

Tony chuckled into that kiss, not doing anything to discourage more of that. "I'm going to get you messy, you know."
