Apartment Above Stark Industries, Valentine's Day

There wasn't a massive stuffed animal or way, way too many flowers waiting for Steve in the apartment this year. If only because Tony had learned his lesson about those. Kind of.

He hadn't learned his lesson about making reservations at places that Steve could never, ever learn the real price tag of.

And there were still just a few dozen roses in hiding for when Steve finished getting ready to go. Look, he was doing his best at being restrained here!

"You fiend," Steve murmured, dropping his head against Tony's shoulder because he loved head massages.

Which was why Tony smiled as he reached for some of the far too fancy for Steve's tastes shampoo to keep rubbing his scalp. "I can't help my wicked ways."

"Thought I was supposed to be a good influence," Steve moaned.

"Maybe this is as good as I get," Tony replied. He rubbed small, soothing circles all along Steve's scalp.

"Mmmm, I'm totally okay with that," Steve said, eyes fluttering closed. "God, your fingers--"

"You are like a cat," Tony said, not letting up when Steve was making noises like that.

"Nah, I just like your hands," Steve said. "I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you how good they are."

He slid his own hands down to squeeze Tony's butt. You know, as encouragement.

Which cause a bright little burst of laughter as Tony leaned into him. "Usually during sex."

"They're good there, too," Steve agreed, "but I love them best when you're working in the lab."

Competency kink strikes again!

"They're all dinged up then," Tony replied.

Suuuuuch a competency kink.

Steve tilted his head to kiss Tony's neck. "Yep. I like 'em that way."

"Not as smooth and soft as a spoiled little rich boy's should be," he teased, shifting one hand down to firmly squeeze the nape of Steve's neck.

Steve sighed softly. "That's also why I like 'em," he said. "More to you than it looks like initially."

Tony hummed, kissing him softly for that. "And I happen to adore watching you draw. You get this little wrinkle of concentration."

"I do?" Steve said, wrinkling up his forehead.

"Just like that," Tony said, beaming before pulling Steve's head down to kiss his forehead.

Steve laughed a little sheepishly. "Oh. That face."

"It's cute!" Just be glad Tony never took a picture.

"To you," Steve said, kissing him fondly.

"To anyone with functioning eyes." And probably Matt Murdock too.

"You've very biased," Steve told him, kissing him again.

"I'm a scientist," Tony replied. "No bias here."

Suuure.

"Mmm, maybe," Steve said, sliding his fingers along some of the bruises he'd left. "I marked you up--"

[imafuturist]

"You did." Tony needed to stop sounding smug about bruises. "Looks like I managed to return the favor."

[heroic_jawline]

"Probably need to touch it up if you want it to last through the shower," Steve teased.

His wrists were still pretty bruised up, so points to the cuffs for withstanding that.
