Ichiran Ramen - Osaka, Japan - Monday Evening

Tony had promised to drag Steve out for dinner while they were in Japan. Ramen seemed like the most basic thing to onboard him with the cuisine.

Plus, Ichiran was amazing. Win/win.

"I've already ordered you extra noodles to add to your bowl once you finish those," Tony informed him. Because he was a good partner like that.

Tony looked surprised, but pleased with that. "You have yourself a deal, Captain."

Steve grinned. "I always do better with incentives."

"You'll get something extra for the livers too." Now he was just pushing it.

Steve made a face. "I ate so much liver as a kid."

"Okay, okay," he laughed, taking that skewer away from Steve to have for himself. "I'll get you more dumplings."

"Thank you," Steve said, bumping his ankle against Tony's under the bar.

"And more beer," Tony said as their drinks were re-filled.

"I'm especially thankful for the beer," Steve said, laughing. "How do you say cheers here?"

"Kanpai," Tony said quietly. Because saying it louder would encourage everyone around them to do as requested and down their drinks. And he was leaving that up to Steve to do.

"Kanpai?" Steve repeated and then was deafened by the enthusiasm of everyone else in the bar.

Tony beamed at that, lifting his glass to follow along with the order.

Steve's cheeks went pink. "You did that on purpose," he said, smiling.

"Maybe a little bit," Tony replied, setting his empty glass down for a refill.

"Brat," Steve said with a grin as he tried a bite of chicken heart.

It was not terrible!

"I'm feeding you and you say these things to me," he teased with mock sadness.

"They are not untrue things," Steve pointed out.

"Well..." He wasn't wrong there.

Steve grinned at him, winked, and drank more beer.

"Enjoying Japan so far?"

"Very much," Steve said, smiling. "The art is amazing."

"We can go to one of the art museums together this week," he offered. Tony could translate anything that didn't have an English sign for him.

"Or all of them?" Steve asked hopefully.

[imafuturist]

Which earned him a laugh. "All of them, yes."

Steve beamed at him. "For that, I'll even try the liver."

Tony beamed and had to hold himself back from kissing him. "You really do love me."
