Which. Okay. Prom was yesterday and the week they'd had leading up to this meant...

"Steve," Tony groaned, pulling a pillow over his head. "It's going to be a weekend."

"Sometimes?" Steve admitted. "Sometimes we burn them to cinders. I was thinking we could order from the diner and I could go grab it."

"That might be best?" Tony said, frowning and looking at Steve to mouth the word 'coffee' at him.

Steve smiled. "Give me your orders and I'll be back in twenty," he said.

With all the coffee.

"Thanks!" It had the upside of letting her have time with her dad, after all.

And it gave Steve a chance to gracefully retreat for a bit. "I'll be right back," he said, squeezing Tony's hand quickly but tightly as he went past.

Tony offered him a quick smile and squeezed his hand back.

"So, it's... been a while?" he said to Morgan once Steve was gone.

"I was accepting the whole loss," Morgan replied, gesturing a little with her coffee cup. It was actually Steve's and she was definitely using it with minor levels of maliciousness.

"...you got in trouble with Pepper," Tony said after a moment.

"I got in trouble with mom," she agreed with a little sigh.

Steve came back a good forty minutes later because he'd stopped in to check on Wanda first.

"Breakfast!" he called and watched as Patriot zoomed to meet him and almost crashed into the wall.

Morgan and Tony, meanwhile, had come to an agreement on sharing the coffee until more arrived. For everyone's safety.

"This is why I wanted a dog as a kid," Morgan remarked, watching as Patriot absolutely melted down at the reappearance of his person.

"You didn't have a dog?" Steve said.

Tony, you monster.

"Llamas," Morgan said with a little shrug.

"Pepper doesn't like dogs," Tony said faintly. Unless the Peppers were different that way.

"But llamas?" Steve said, making a face.

"It was a farm," Morgan replied dryly. Sounding, in fact, so much like her mother in that moment. "Sometimes I go out there when I don't have school."

"You married Pepper and moved to a llama farm," Steve said in the tone that said "you lost your entire mind."

"You apparently took off to live on the moon," Morgan said, shooting Steve another Pepper 'you should stop throwing stones from that glass house' look. "So..."

Ow, ow, coffee out his nose, ow. "I did what?"

"Maybe. It's the rumor, but mom never confirmed it." Maybe because Morgan was too much like her dad to leave well enough alone."

What the hell was he doing on the moon? "Is one of the teams in space, then?"

"There's the Guardians of the Galaxy, but no one really likes them hanging out on the moon," she admitted. "And those guys with the big stone... alien in the ocean?"
