Well, they'd had another repeat kid. One from a less than ideal timeline from the sound of things. But it was consistent. That had to be good, right?

Right.

At least that's what Tony was hoping as he'd added more backup plans to his list based on the little tidbits she'd dropped here and there. Because that was just how he rolled when faced with bizarre scenarios.

But right now? Right now he was going to spend the evening with Steve to make up for, well, everything about the weekend. "I ordered pizza," he called once he heard Steve and the dog coming back from a walk.

"Yours," Tony agreed with another groan.

"Always mine," Steve said, kissing him again--but quickly. Breathing was becoming a problem.

"God, you feel--" Tony began before Steve moved just so and any higher thoughts were driven out of his brain.

Steve's reply was nothing more than a low, needy whine. Keeping the tempo slow and deep was taking a toll on him but he was nothing if not stubborn.

Well, if it helped him out, Tony wasn't doing any better than him. Right now he was pulling on the scarves tight enough to leave marks on his wrists and threatened the integrity of the fabric.

And it was almost a surprise when he finally came, still feeling overstimulated through it.

And feeling Tony let go was enough for Steve, who followed almost immediately.

Enjoy 200 pounds of supersoldier collapsed on top of you there, Tony.

Tony would in a moment. Just give him a moment.

"Steve--"

Or, you know, when breathing became necessary again.

"Mmmm?" Steve mumbled, mashed into Tony's shoulder.

"I love you, but you're heavy," Tony mumbled with a half-hearted little shove.

"Mfrrle," Steve grumped, flopping onto the mattress.

Tony rolled onto his side to continue to cuddle without the whole threat of smothering in there. "Better."

Steve moved his hands up to the scarf. "Can you let go?" he asked quietly.

He knew his hands sometimes forgot to.

Tony made a surprised sound because, yes. He'd forgotten about that in everything.

He flexed his hands, letting the blood return to his fingers.

Steve pressed his mouth against the marks on Tony's skin. "You okay?"

"Might have some bruises, but I'm okay," Tony said, watching Steve fondly.

Steve leaned in for a soft, slow kiss. "You know I'm always going to check."

"And I love you for it," Tony murmured into that kiss.

Steve fingers ghosted along the lines the scarf had left. "Only good pain, right?"

Because if he would never forgive himself if it crossed a line.

"Only good," Tony assured him with another kiss.

"I worry," Steve said quietly.

[imafuturist]

"I know, I know," Tony replied with another, quick kiss. "It's why I trust you here."

"That means the world to me," Steve admitted.
