Lab Beneath Stark Industries, Thursday Afternoon

Was Tony even aware of the whole armor situation that had begun as the week continued? Debatable. Possibly because he was too far in the zone, possibly because JARVIS was a deft hand at keeping things in check until backup may or may not need to be called.

It was almost like Tony had a bit of a reputation as a mad scientist sometimes. No like Reed or Hank level, but pretty damn close, honestly.

But he was continuing on designing more very niche armor pieces that were just... coming into existence without the whole production thing needing to happen.

"Hey!" Tony snapped, clutching at the tablet as one of the armors wrapped themselves around him. Oh yeah, just what everyone wanted.

"Leave the dog alone," Steve retorted in his Don't Fuck With Me Cap voice.

"I need to fix it," Tony snapped, helmet settling into place.

Fix it and make it eeeeevil.

Steve put the memories of Russia firmly out of his mind and squared up against Tony. "It's not broken."

Well, it would be easy to put that out of mind as Tony lunged at him to get him out of the lab with some excessive force. Because he needed to keep working here!

"I'm really sorry about this," Steve muttered, then punched the with the flat of his shield.

Oh, it was like that, huh?

Tony charged up a unibeam blast like a perfectly reasonable response to Steve after stumbling back a few steps. It probably wasn't the sound Steve wanted to hear.

It really wasn't, which was why Steve was a step or two slower than he needed to be in getting out of the way.

Well, this was just going to be A Thing for them come Saturday.

It'd be fine, though. Just fine. Ignore how Tony was keeping after him to clear the lab of the vile intruders (Steve and Patriot) before he was shot in the back of the helmet by a corgi. "What the hell?!"

Steve burst out with relieved laughter as Patriot went zooming past him backwards. "Leave the dog alone," he said, voice steely.

"You're interrupting my process," Tony hissed, calling over the other two armors to help here.

"Your process is flawed," Steve retorted.
