Well, Tony was trying to figure out some logistics for things back home while also trying to figure out the logistics of another party here at some point next month. Which honestly just lead to things being mixed up and some supplies meant for the Avengers being delivered here.

Honestly, he brought it on himself for not letting JARVIS handle that.

"No, no, I need it to be picked back up," he said, phone cradled between his ear and shoulder as he typed out something. "Pepper, I know they just dropped it off, but this is the wrong location for it."

And now Pepper was getting in on the judgement of his multitasking skills.

Steve came back from an evening jog (and rock climbing) and grinned at the boxes. "What'd we get?"

"It's uniforms for the team, but there was a mix up--" Tony began before there was an annoyed huff from the phone interrupting him. "It was a mix up, Pepper. Look. It's fine. I'll just bring them myself."

And that set off a whole list of things Tony could do while he was in the city as Pepper began rearranging his schedule for that.

"Oh, they're definitely not supposed to be here," Steve agreed, poking around in the boxes.

Tony mouthed 'help me' with an extra pathetic look as Pepper completely filled his day with professional things to do.

"What day does she want you to go?" Steve mouthed back. "Maybe you're teaching."

"I have classes in the afternoon--what?" Oh no. Oh noooo. "When did JARVIS share that with you?"

"Look, Steve is here and needs my attention, have to go bye!"

"Bye, Pepper," Steve said happily.

Tony tossed the phone aside and sighed. "She likes you more than me."

Steve leaned in and kissed him. "She absolutely does not."

"She's not making you sit at the office all of the day tomorrow," he whined, kissing him back.

"Aww, poor Tony," Steve teased. "Do you have to go to meetings?"

"Several of them!" Feel sorry for his truly hard life.

"That is terrible," Steve said solemnly.

Ignore how his eyes were sparkling.

"You could come with me to save me from this torment."

Oh yeah, just how Steve wanted to spend his day.

"I could," Steve said slowly. Please don't make him go, Tony.

Tony sighed and slumped back. "Well, I guess having you to come back to will be worth it. Maybe I'll bring pizza."

From Manhattan. The best place for it.

"From Brooklyn?"

Steven, don't kick a man while he's down.

"I am not schlepping to Brooklyn to come back with pizza. Especially not when the better pizza is by me."

Oh, shots fired.

Steve gave Tony big, sad eyes. "You won't?"

"Maybe if someone came with me..." The impasse.

Steve sighed. "I guess I'm coming to Manhattan."

Tony leaned over to kiss him. "Thank you, sweetheart."

"I'm getting all the pizza," he warned.

"That's a very fair trade off," Tony agreed.

"I might leave a piece for you," Steve said.
