Penthouse Apartment of the Stark Tower-ish, Monday Evening

Well, Tony was trying to figure out some logistics for things back home while also trying to figure out the logistics of another party here at some point next month. Which honestly just lead to things being mixed up and some supplies meant for the Avengers being delivered here.

Honestly, he brought it on himself for not letting JARVIS handle that.

"No, no, I need it to be picked back up," he said, phone cradled between his ear and shoulder as he typed out something. "Pepper, I know they just dropped it off, but this is the wrong location for it."

And now Pepper was getting in on the judgement of his multitasking skills.

Steve bit down harder. "I don't lie."

"Fibber," he amended playfully.

"Better," Steve said with a little grin.

Tony chuckled as he tugging on Steve's hair for that. "Since we have to head into the city tomorrow, perhaps an early night is called for."

"Is that what we're calling this now?" Steve teased.

Tony considered it.

"Yep."

Steve laughed and kissed him again. "Then I'm very excited to turn in early. Let me take the dog out first."

"Perfect," Tony said with one more kiss. "I'll get food out for him."

They were so domestic. It made Steve content to his toenails. "Meet you upstairs in twenty?"

That dog was getting a sprint around the block.

"Deal."

It was possibly a life neither of them expected to ever have.

Steve leaned in for a last kiss. "Love you."

Tony smiled into that kiss before responding with aa pleased, "Love you too."

"Get comfortable," Steve said with an answering smile. "Don't build a pillow fort."

"Spoilsport!"

"I get that a lot," Steve said. "Patty, let's go for a walk."

Tony didn't spend the time building a pillow fort, but he did spend time in changing into some Captain America themed sleep pants before sprawling out on the bed to wait for Steve. And maybe he ended up skimming through social media for reasons.

Steve came upstairs (using the stairs for added corgi exhaustion) and walked into their room, closing the door behind him (for added corgi avoidance). "Nice pants," he said, smiling.

"Well, it's an early night, so it's all about comfort, right?" Tony said, putting his phone away and rolling onto his stomach to shamelessly showcase the shield on the seat of the pants.

"I see what you're doing," Steve said.

And it was absolutely working.

"I'm not doing anything," Tony replied with a grin.

"Sure you're not," Steve said, patting Tony's ass.

Tony laughed, scooting closer. "Just waiting for my husband."

"Is he coming back soon?" Steve teased.

"Oh, any minute now," Tony replied, playing along with him. "But he might not like you getting fresh with me."

"Serves him right to leave you alone wearing these pants," Steve said.
