Tony was regretting the number of dogs he'd ended up with here. Mostly because he was presently covered in them as he tried to go through work emails. Tried was the key word there because they were being needy and competitive for the attention he could provide.

"Steve, you can turn back any moment now," he just sighed as he was up to his neck in fur.

It'd be so nice if things worked that way, wouldn't it?

"Of course you are," Steve said with a fond smile. "Let's check on the pups."

"JARVIS hasn't alerted to anything, so it can't be too bad." For once that was correct.

"Very true," Steve said, tossing the trash away.

"Then you can help me come up with enriching obstacle courses for them to learn on," Tony said, waiting for Steve to head back over to the living room. Where there were three passed out dogs. One of which was sleeping mid-chew on that kong.

"Awwww," Steve murmured, his whole face going soft and sweet.

"At least you tired them all out," Tony whispered.

"I'm glad to know it can be done," Steve said with a grin.

"C'mon. Let's plot out the ballroom while they're down," Tony said quietly. "J will alert us."

Steve's grin got bigger. "I feel like we're sneaking around even though it's our place."

"Exactly," Steve said, sneaking out of the room again.
