So, the fifth wedding anniversary gift was wood. And Tony was Tony, so that was a bit of a struggle for him. That was, until he got an idea. Yes, the sort of idea that would have Pepper popping some antacids, but still.

They had the chalet and that was all well and good, but this was a special occasion!

So, he bought a castle.

For Steve. Without warning him ahead of time as he swept Steve off island to celebrate their big day with promises of a surprise.

"They did mention that we could dig a moat if we really wanted the castle vibes."

"And so would the dogs," Steve said.

Mostly the dogs.

"We could do that fancy dog food that's just a lot of organ meat and supplements," Tony suggested.

Steve made a face. "The one that smells?"

"But we have the class make it instead of us." Which helped!

"...that feels mean," Steve said.

"Nahhh."

"Anthony," Steve said, frowning. "Not the organ meats."

"Fine." You really constrained him, Steve! "Maybe what they feed sled dogs?"

"What do they feed sled dogs?" Steve asked warily.

"High calorie stuff. Meat and kibble mixed up."

"...maybe," Steve decided.

"We're brainstorming here," Tony said with a grin.

"I thought we were eating dinner," Steve teased.

"It can be both," Tony replied. "We're good like that."

"Excellent multitasking," Steve agreed.

"Soon to be enjoying ourselves in the master bedroom. With more wine," he added.

"You know, that sounds perfect," Steve said, grinning.

"Maybe we should see about getting a sauna here too."

"Oooh, yes, please," Steve said.

He loved being entirely too warm.

"It'll be nice and private for us," Tony continued with a grin. Because he was just asking to pass out from the heat midway through sex.

"We don't get a lot of privacy," Steve said quietly, nodding.

"No dogs all weekend," Tony added. "No JARVIS other than the phones."

"Is it bad that I'm really happy about that?" Steve asked, leaning in for a kiss.
