A Fully Unnecessary Castle In Germany, Friday Night

After class and washing off of just so much paint, a portal to the new anniversary home in the Black Forest (he would never realize this was a different forest) was in the cards. Because this weekend. It wasn't fun.

So, why not go an piss off Victor Von Doom with a vacation home right outside of Latveria!

It made perfect sense to Tony.

"Oh, we're testing out the new secret passages," Tony said cheerfully as they arrived.

Steve grinned at him. "I'm very fond of secret rooms."

Like bathrooms. Ahem.

"Well, I should hope so," Tony said, turning to tug on Steve's shirt collar for a kiss.

This was such a hedonistic little place for them. Steve adored it. He kissed Tony back, smiling.

"Thank you. For getting us busy this weekend," he murmured.

"A change of scenery is good for both of us," Steve said.

Tony had finally started sleeping through the night again! Mostly!

"It is," he agreed.

"Let's explore all the new surprises," Steve said with an eager grin.

And then hopefully exhaust themselves into a full night's sleep--Steve hadn't been sleeping much, either.

Weird! Almost like they had something traumatic happen.

"Yes," Tony said, taking his hand to tug along.

"And see how full the wine cellar is now," Steve added.

"Oh, yes! I had a shipment come for that." Steve was going to boggle at the size of it all.

"Did you get the one I like?" Steve asked excitedly.

The one that was ludicriously expensive, not that Steve knew that?

"I got a few from that vineyard too." Did he buy the vineyard? No, no. Don't ask.

Steve gave him another kiss. "Thank you."

Tony hummed, enjoying the kiss. He had maybe been a little, tiny, barely there bit clingy lately.

And Steve had been wholy ridiculous with the mother henning, so he was happy to kiss Tony as long as he wanted.

And clearly things could be fixed with fancy wine and a castle, right? No need for anything like therapy. No, no, no.

"We are going to have great weekend here."

"We are," Steve agreed, smiling at Tony.

"And I got the kitchen stocked for the weekend."

Hopefully Steve was down for at least half the food being the most fancy charcuterie boards possible.

If the other half was roasted pork knuckle, Steve would be fine!

"Yay," Steve said in an imitation of Tony's little happy cheer.

Tony beamed at him, laughing in startled surprise before pulling him into another kiss.

"I love how happy you are here," Steve said.

"No baggage here," he admitted. Greece had been attacked by AIM. And it was fine. Normally.

"No one knows it's ours," Steve said.

"Exactly," Tony said, grinning before kissing him again.

"You're a little giddy about it," Steve teased.

[imafuturist]

"I needed this," he said before correcting himself, "We needed this."

"We did," Steve agreed, smiling and sliding his fingers through Tony's and pulling him inside the castle.

"Think you remember where more of the passages were planned for than me?" he asked, going along easily.

"Yes," Steve said with a firm nod.

He'd spend a few sleepless nights memorizing them like a very normal person who was not at all overcompensating for Tony getting kidnapped.

"Show me, Captain," he teased.

"Happily," Steve said, walking halfway down the entrance hall, turning, and pushing on a piece of the wall. "Please be a secret door," he teased.

Tony laughed as the spot of wall depressed and a door popped open next to it. Nothing gave away the seams of the door somehow. "Yaaay!"

"This one should take us straight to our room," Steve said.

"Oh, I like, I like," Tony cooed. "Do we also have one straight to the wine cellar?"

He knew they did.

"We do, but it's closer to the dining room," Steve said.

"Which one are we going in?" he asked like this was a game now.

"Which one do you want first?" Steve asked.

Tony hummed, hooking his arm around Steve's. "How about some wine and dinner first?"

"That sounds swell," Steve said, smiling and heading for the kitchen.
