Apartment Above Stark Industries, Saturday Afternoon

The storm outside had knocked out the power, but Tony had worked hard on having reduncancies in place for his lab and the apartment.

Sadly that didn't seem to matter when Fandom was being Fandom, so he was bundled up in a winter coat as he worked on converting a lamp into a space heater. It was at 1.0, so there was still room for improvement there. Possibly five different iterations before he would be satisfied with what he'd made.

"It's supposed to be spring," he muttered under his breath angrily.

God, but Steve loved that man to distraction.

He padded around the kitchen, humming as he located the waffles, bacon, and coffee to boil over the stove like heathens who really needed some coffee right now used to do.

Tony only paused once he smelled the coffee. "Oh my god, you're making it on the stove? You really do love me."

Steve smiled bashfully, stirring the pot. "Maybe a little."

Tony turned the toaster turned space heater on before giving him q little hug from behind. Because he wasn't going to interrupt the coffee making.

Steve leaned back into him. "If I'd known a little coffee could make you this happy--" he teased gently.

"I'd been prepared for withdrawal."

Yeah, that indeed the right term for it.

"Aww, sweetheart," Steve said, grinning as he poured out the coffee into a mug. "I wouldn't make you suffer that way."

Tony gave him a look because it was Steve who was suffering here, not him. "You're still my favorite for this."

Steve kissed him. "Try the coffee before you say that."

"You've seen me eat grounds, dear," Tony said, inhaling the scent of coffee before taking a sip.

"I have," Steve said, laughing. "This is the stuff Morita used to make for us. We were half-convinced it would melt our spoons."

"Sounds like my kind of coffee," he teased, not even flinching at the taste.

Steve laughed, relief showing in his eyes. "I'm glad you like it."

Tony gave him a deeply bitter, coffee tasting kiss. "You spoil me."

"I try to," Steve admitted, kissing him back.

"I love you," he said, sticking close to kiss him once again.

Steve smiled softly. "And that's why I spoil you. Because I love you, too."

Tony ducked his face in against Steve's shoulder like he couldn't handle him. Because he seriously couldn't.

Steve was gradually figuring out that particular tell of Tony's, which was why he stopped whatever else he was doing and gave him a tight hug.

Tony made a pleased noise at that, hugging him back. "Eat. You need the energy."

Also, he was so into you right now, Steve.

Steve chuckled at that. "Planning to warm me up again, love?"

"I could." So, yes. Yes, a lot for being so romantic.

Steve's cheeks went pink. "I won't say no," he said. "Check on the waffles? They should be done. The bacon's gonna take a bit longer."

"Let's try to keep from burning it," he said, trying not to smile at the blush.

“ Not again,” Steve agreed, running his fingers through his hair.
