Tony was somehow still cleaning up after the party, frowning at the disturbing collection of chip flavors leftover from it.

"Maybe Kitty would like them?" he muttered to himself. Pregnant women were supposed to have odd cravings, right?

Steve was happy to be held. "Why do you think you shouldn't love it, sweetheart?"

"It's... hard to explain?" Because emotional honesty.

Steve kissed him between the eyes. "Try?"

"You mean so much to me," he said. "And I don't want to disappoint you."

Steve leaned his head in and kissed him softly. "You don't disappoint me. Not ever."

"I'm trying to believe that," Tony replied, more than okay with the closeness.

Steve kissed him again. "I know you are," he whispered. "And you really are the very best thing in my life."

He did that thing where he looked like he wanted to argue that point on principle. "You're the same for me," Tony settled on instead, cupping Steve's face with his hands.

Steve's entire face lit up. "Yeah?"

"Of course you are," Tony said softly, pushing at Steve's shoulder to pin him back against the bed to cuddle the hell out of.

Steve hugged him back tightly. "Never hurts to hear."

"I'll tell you more often then," he promised, setting in against Steve's chest.

"And I will too," Steve promised, kissing Tony's hair. "You deserve to feel as loved as you are."

Tony hummed happily, lazily dragging his fingers over the smooth skin of Steve's chest. "We still have the roof to clean."

"Mmmm," Steve agreed, closing his eyes and enjoying the petting. "And a shower. But...not this second."

"Definitely after. Enjoying the afterglow right now." By which he meant the emotional and physical intimacy going on there.

"I'm glad," Steve murmured sincerely. "You were amazing."

"You melted my brain, so I think you won this round," he teased quietly.

"Your brain works too hard," Steve declared. "It deserves a break, too."

"Luckily I have you around to help with that," Tony said with a sincere little laugh.

"Full-service boyfriend here," Steve said, smiling.

"Backrubs and brain melting," he teased. "A guy could get used to this."

"It's part of my evil plan to get you to keep me around," Steve said.

"Oh, then I support it wholeheartedly," Tony said, stretching up for a kiss

"Thought you might," Steve murmured, kissing him softly.
