Well, yesterday had come and gone and, between getting pulled out for radio and plugging away at cleaning the ballroom, it hadn't really hit that no kids had shown up.
But now things were calmer and it was much more obvious.
It was good, right? No kid showing up to say one of them was dead in some weird potential future. Right? It was good. Fine. It sure was something.
Which was why Tony was just staring at a pile of wilted roses and considering how best he and Steve should handle this.
