Morning, guys! This is Kitty, and sorry for last week. I was a lion. Makes it hard to read notes. These things happen.

So we have Gregorith was jamming out to some Chappell Roan at the museum. He also made his way to The Perk, where he met Saris, who was a little thrown off by him.

And that's all I've got. Till next week, unless I see you in classes.

It was always the luck of the draw when Lilian was unpacking crates. She might find anything from a priceless historical treasure to a hideous, indestructible doll with razor legs. Sometimes, she even found things relevant to her own history; usually items of Dominarian make that she recognized but every so often, things she specifically recognized. After all, kick around for a couple hundred years and visit dozens of planes and eventually the odds just fell in favor.

Very few earned such an immediate response as today's item, however. A mask. Not just any mask, but a mask meant to look like Griselbrand, one of the four demons with whom she'd made a deal with for the return of her youth, her immortality, and some measure of her old power in exchange for her battered and tarnished soul.

One of the two that she had already killed in order to get said battered and tarnished soul back.

Unearthing it from the packing material, Liliana wasn't sure whether to laugh or to gloat. Griselbrand was dead and she was gloriously alive, after all.

But receiving such an idem was quite the unexpected happenstance...even moreso when one considered that the dragon that had sent her here was the very same dragon that had brokered the demonic deal she was still benefitting from.

A coincidence? A gift? A threat?

Liliana couldn't tell.

"Today," Hannibal announced, "we're going to discuss measuring. When following recipes, it's important to measure correctly. Dry ingredients and wet ingredients are measured differently."

He discussed how most common items were measured, then presented them all with a simple recipe. "Today, we will each make a batch of these cookies. We will discuss each step as we go through it - how to properly position the oven racks and pre-heat it, how to measure everything, and how to cook them. Please ask for any additional help you may need."

When everyone arrived in the classroom, they'd find the chairs all pushed aside to clear a space in the middle of the floor, and Jon holding a box.

"One thing that's supposed to help concentration and stress is doing puzzles. All sorts, including things like sudoku and crosswords." Which he had considered, but decided to forego. You're welcome, medieval Henry.

"So I thought we could work on one together." Surely that would foster cooperation and nobody would get annoyed at someone else doing the puzzle wrong or piece-hoarding, right?

He opened up the box and poured the pieces into a pile, then set up the box to one side.

Eric arrived at the bar to discover Tiny's celebration of National Popcorn Day had taken over the place. "You're cleaning this up," he said, walking through a six inch pile of the stuff on the floor. "And no one wants popcorn-infused rum."

The bar was open! Maybe one of you would prove Eric wrong and actually want popcorn=infused rum?

Steve finished up a bit of paperwork, delaying the call he needed to make to Honolulu. (And he was definitely delaying if he was voluntarily doing paperwork.)

Finally he picked up the phone. "Howzit, Chin," he began. "Danny and I were thinking that since we're here so much, we might look at expanding the Five-O team back home. Can you put out some feelers, see if you can turn up any likely candidates?"

After another ten minutes of chatting, he hung up and wondered why putting out that request felt like defeat.

The Trooper Station was open! Please give Steve a distraction.

"Mornin' critters," Caleb greeted the animals as he went on his rounds. "First day on th' job."

He made sure everyone was alive, double checked what needed checking (like who got what to eat). "Okay who's hungry?"

He stared at one dog to make sure it was breathing. It was, just a very deep sleeper.

Furnado is open.

Here we are, back on our correct day! Hello, folks. This is Tony Stark with the news. I really ought to work on the newscaster voice sometime. Just for fun.

I'll make a note.

Okay, we have just a little bit from yesterday, Sairis learned about the wonder that is The Perk before meeting Greg and discussing demons and summonings and that sort of thing. Magic. Not exactly my wheelhouse.

But that appears to be all we've got. Stay warm, folks!

Gregorith's best friend Beleth had had a garage band when they were teenager, and occasionally still indulged in this hobby. Usually in the form of karaoke. His current go-to was a metal version of Pink Pony Club, which Lily had secretly recorded and sent to Greg.

This was what he was listening and dancing to as he set up the desk and made sure the lobby was squared away. He made sure the volume was at a reasonable level when he went to check on the butterflies but they seemed to enjoy it as well.

The museum is open.

Sairis was finally, tentatively working his way out into the town to learn more about it. He still had a bit of coin left, since he hadn't had to pay for food or lodging, so he made his way around the place until he saw something that looked at least a little familiar.

Only it apparently wasn't a tavern, it was a shop just for tea and coffee?

Sairis got a coffee and let the person talk him into something sweet called a "peppermint white mocha", then sat at a table and sipped it while he poked at his phone some more.

Good morning, everyone! It is I, Miss Lydia Bennet, here once again with all the news the squirrels saw fit to report. Don't try to understand their choices. It is not for our minds to know.

Let's see...I suppose we should begin with the school, shouldn't we? In Overcoming Obstacles, the students...practiced being bitten by Mr. Stark and Mr. Rogers' dogs? That cannot be correct. I suspect the squirrel assigned to that class was very drunk indeed. Combat 101 learned some basic self-defense, which sounds more accurate, well done, Combat 101 squirrel, and Cupcakes of the World learned about the cupcakes of Australia. We've an Australian restaurant here on this very island, if any of you are curious about more of their cuisine!

Next, moving along to--

*excited trilling*

Yes, the dormitory. The porg is very excited. In the second floor common room, Mr. Karkaroth was preparing a meal when he was joined by Mr. Henry of Skalitz and his dog, to whom Mr. Dooley introduced himself. Mr. Dooley and Mr. Karkaroth discussed how they are adapting to modern technology. Apparently Mr. Dooley doesn't have a phone yet. Imagine!

In the town, Miss Skywalker was doing some work on the roof at her warehouse, assisted by Dean Skywalker, whilst at the forge Mr. Henry of Skalitz was considering making more horseshoes. A blacksmith can never have enough horseshoes, I've always heard! And finally, at the Devil's Nest, Mr. Morningstar was, as always, at his pianoforte. With that, dear listeners, I shall leave you and hie myself off in search of tea. Farewell until next week!

Hey, look, it was some college kids, doing normal college kid things! Like sneaking into clubs with fake IDs Arden's brother had somehow procured for them! Erasmus wasn't asking questions. He felt like his momma was going to sense his malfeasance from Mississippi and ground him at any moment.

Well, now they were here, and, uh... "What do we...do in a club, anyway?" Dance? They should probably dance.

(For them who knows who they are, but if anyone else wants to be in the club tonight, sure, why not?)

Today, the classroom had an assortment of suits scattered around for students to grab. Because Tony was Tony and what even was money? How much could a banana cost? Ten dollars? That sort of thing.

"Welcome back, everyone!" Tony said, holding onto a leash tightly as Fee was losing her goddamn mind over the suits. "Today we're jumping right into the deep end."

"Fee and Libby have been trained to take down intruders," Steve said, "because our lives can be a little...extreme. They're still puppies, so they think this is a big fun game and they are definitely not going to hurt you."

"But they will knock you over. Probably." Had they knocked over Tony? He was not going to tell.

"They might also just run right past you and miss entirely," Steve admitted.

"Hence the training!" Tony said. "So, how about everyone suit up and we'll see how this goes."

"It'll be fun!" Steve said enthusiastically, already reaching for his suit. "And we won't video anyone."

This time...

"We will begin," Thor told his class without further preamble, "with some basic self-defense. Some of you may be more advanced than this, but it never hurts to review the basics." And some of you seemed to think magic would always save you, so learning how to kick someone in the groin was a step in the right direction. "Pair up, and I shall demonstrate, and then you can practice on one another. Please remember not to actually follow through. You are not simulations, and I do not wish for you to harm one another grievously. Let us begin."

Having received a thorough grounding in how to use the internet from Arden, Sairis had been making use of it ever since. It was frustrating that he couldn't be sure how much was true, but he'd learned to research and cross-reference texts, and that seemed to help.

He'd learned a lot about electricity! And how stoves worked. He had his priorities.

So here he was, having found some eggs and meat and carrots in the icebox, and cooking them in a pan on the stove. There was a spice rack, and most of them made no sense, so he'd tasted them. Which was why he was using salt and pepper (those he knew) and something called "chili powder" to season it all.

“This week,” Stark said once everyone had arrived, “I thought we’d start with somewhere I’m not from but sometimes I’m told I sound like I’m from. Sometimes I’m a koala and those are from Australia even if I’m not when I’m my usual self.”

Did you all know your teacher was a koala on occasion? You did now!

“Australia is a country here, on Earth,” Stark said. “In case any of you aren’t aware. I should have brought a map. Next time. We can mark off where we’ve had cupcakes from. Keep track of it.”

He’d try to remember that for next week and the following weeks.

“First off, I have the recipe for today’s cupcakes. They’re lamington cupcakes because lamingtons are a dessert in Australia. This is just that but made into a cupcake. Cake, chocolate, and coconut.”

“So, you have the recipe. We have all the ingredients and equipment you might need. I’ve made frosting already, if anyone wants to use that instead of making their own. But first off we’ll need to make the cupcakes. If you need help, please ask. I’m happy to help. Always.”

Rey had felt just enough of a draft this morning that she'd gotten up into the rafters for a little bit of maintenance on the hole they'd patched last year. You know, from when a boulder had gone through it. This was how Rey realized that some things in Fandom sounded weirder more time away you had from them.

If you needed her, you'd have to look up. Way up. And she might ask you to toss her the duct tape from there. Not because she couldn't just levitate it up, or even because she needed it, but because it could be fun.

It was safe to say that Tiny was a little-- confused today. Still, he shuffled out of the way obediently to allow Lucifer to take his seat behind the piano.

"I can't believe the nerve of some people," Lucifer sighed, before launching into a somewhat-irritated rendition of Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now'.

And so it was Friday, and Henry was left back alone to his thoughts at the forge. All right - not entirely alone, as Mutt was there, wandering about and sniffing at things. But still.

It wasn't like it was the first time he'd been alone with his thoughts here, either. He had been quite frequently since returning. But there was a restlessness in him here, with so little actual smithing to do and so much empty time to fill.

"D'you think we should start making more horseshoes, just in case?" he asked Mutt, pitifully, around noon. "I don't know how much longer I want to listen to myself think."

Mutt barked at him enthusiastically.

Good morning, everyone! It's Steve Rogers--

*exuberant barking*

--and Fee, and we're here for the new--don't eat that, Fee. The news. Let's start with classes. Jane and Cara had their class watching a movie with sharks falling from the sky--we had to fix a window because that happened here--Don confused us with magically appearing cows--in the story, not in class--and Liliana led her class in understanding peace through structure. Speaking of structure, the gremlins still had a cardboard castle in the library. That sounds like it could escalate.

In town, Luma is really hoping that the clothing hadn't developed a new, themed habit every week, Vi brought Steph a peppermint mocha, Steven and Watts had lunch, and Thor was back on the Norse cow thing while serving drinks at the Devil's Nest. And Dr. Lecter was holding counseling hours.

*more barking*

Fee, leave Leroy alone. That's everything for the news! Have a good weekend.
