Somewhere warm and 'please don't buy another building, Tony' had been the two stipulations for Valentine's Day this year. One was easy and the other was just rude.

Because there went any plans to buy Steve a castle.

So, Tony thought on places they had not gone yet and then JARVIS finally picked a resort after Tony went through one too many spreadsheets of potential locations. Because JARVIS was a peach like that.

"So, how do you like it?" Tony asked, looking out at the ocean from their private villa.

"I'll pretend to be surprised to hear that," Steve teased, hauling himself out of the pool and wrapping a towel around his waist. "Holy cow," he said, pointing to one of the dishes. "This is for us?"

"Ta-da!" Like Tony made it or something. "You'll at least be warm and stuffed today."

Well.

"In more ways than one."

And that was wine out Steve's nose. "Anthony Edward."

"Love you too," Tony said sweetly, snagging a shrimp.

"I wish I could say that I can't believe you said that," Steve teased, reaching for some lobster.

Tony laughed and leaned into his side. "You secretly like my dirty jokes."

"I will never admit it out loud," Steve said with a smile.

Tony kissed him on the cheek for it anyway. "Ooo, chocolate cake. Mine."

"Is there more chocolate cake?" Steve asked, looking over at all of the dishes.

"...There could be." So no.

Steve laughed. "It's fine," he said. "There's enough food here to keep me more than full."

"We'll get more later," Tony promised. "As a treat after we go out."

Instead of just lounging around all week.

"I'll comfort myself with crab and lobster," Steve teased.

"You suffer," Tony agreed solemnly.

"I do," Steve agreed, taking a bite of crab.

"Next you'll be forced to eat pizza."

Wasn't that just the worst?

"I'm not sure this is the best place for that," Steve said.

"Noodle dishes," he suggested instead.

Because, yes, he remembered the mayo and corn pizza in Japan.

"We have about eight to choose from," Steve said.

"Carbs to help get your energy back, there we go!" Super soldier and all.

Steve leaned in to kiss him. "What could I need energy for?"

"Oh, this and that..."

Getting pounced on again, really.

Steve's smile turned a little mischievous. "I generally like your ideas."

When they aren't accidentally world destroying.

Look, you nearly take over the planet once it twice and suddenly you get labeled as a problem.

"You do," Tony agreed, sounding much too pleased with that.

Steve gave him a little grin, then filled up their champagne glasses again. What else was vacation for other than getting a little squiffy on overpriced wine?
