Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree - NYC - Sunday Afternoon

Well, it had felt necessary to do the tourist thing and go look at the tree with the mass of people leading up to the holiday. The urge to do this was quickly passing as they were in the moment of it.

Mostly because it was too cold for Steve and too crowded for the both of them. But it was a pretty tree at least. The lone upside to the whole afternoon here.

"We can say we saw it now," Tony suggested, arm curled around Steve's and all bundled up in winter gear that was probably too expensive for where they were. Like he was just asking to be pickpocketed or something.

(Joke was on them, he never remembered to carry a wallet because why would he?)

"Which pet peeve led to roller skates?" Steve teased.

Tony laughed at having it turned on him. "The suit--could run out of power. And it's much too heavy to move around easily. So... wheels."

Steve smiled and blew a raspberry into Tony's calf muscle since he was still down there. "I love your brain."

"We can't all be blessed with super strength," Tony laughed.

"It's not as useful as you'd think all the time," Steve said.

"I can think of a few things I'd use it for," Tony said with a suggestive grin.

Steve's cheeks went pink. "I can think of a few things you've had me use it for."

Tony grinned up at him and sighed dreamily. "Oh, those were all fun."

Steve blushed harder. "I like that look on your face," he admitted.

"All for you," Tony said, holding out a hand to pull him down for a kiss.

Steve smiled as he kissed him. "I'm lucky."

"Forgiven me?"

"Mostly," Steve said, kissing him again.

Tony laughed into that kiss. "Understandable."

"You were very mean," Steve scolded without heat.

"I almost got you to break the tub," Tony said like that would have been the best thing.

"We could try to break the bed?" Steve suggested.

"I love the way you think." You picked this man, Steve!

"I thought you might be up for the challenge," Steve teased.

"With you?" Tony murmured. "Always."

Steve kissed him again, smiling. "I'm learning to love certain things about a penthouse."

The privacy, for one.

"Is it the bird's eye view of Brooklyn?" he teased.

"The private bird's eye view," Steve said, straddling Tony's hips.

Tony grinned up at him. "I'll always give you all the privacy we can manage."

But their lives sometimes.
