Ballroom of Stark Towerlet, Saturday Afternoon

So, maybe the whole getting Steve up to speed on roller skating in the ballroom wasn't the best plan. But ice skating was happening without a lot of hot chocolate being provided, so there they were.

And now Steve had a sprained wrist that he was downplaying like his last name was actually Stark or something. Which was rude. Sure, it'd heal with record speed and all, but the principle of the matter!

"Are you sure we don't need to go to the clinic? Or maybe just get Don?"

"I guess I can accept a duke," Tony sighed.

"Maybe a secret duchess," Steve said, smiling.

"Now you're just pushing it," Tony countered.

"You've never met a secret duchess?"

"Only the ones who are trying to kill me."

"You are," Steve agreed. "They better watch themselves."

"Are you going to protect me?" Tony asked with a laugh. "My knight in shining armor and all that?"

"I will protect you from the terrifying murderous duchesses," Steve promised.

"What about dukes?" Tony had to ask.

"You're on your own with the dukes," Steve said.

"I'll do my best to bat them off," Tony promised solemnly. "Married man and all."

"Ill help by glaring at them," Steve added.

"Oh, the Captain America look of disapproval is very powerful."

"I've been told," Steve agreed. "That's why Fury made me do so many PSAs."

"That and you needed to continue the find tradition of being countless kids' sexual awakenings."
