Tony's Workshop in the Tiniest Version of the Stark Tower, Friday Evening

Tony had meant to do something nice for Steve after they got back from their class and all the snow involved in it. He'd really meant to. But instead he'd immediately gotten pulled into a project after a phone call from his R&D department back in New York, needing a solution before Pepper got an ulcer from the stress.

Which meant he went straight to the lab to work it out. And then that turned into tinkering with his dozens of other Stark Industries based projects in various states of completion.

And then from there, he was working on a version of the suit. Mark... look, the number wasn't important. The important thing was that he'd forgotten the original plan. Which he'd realize at some point, right?

Steve laughed and got up. "Finally, you're undivided attention," he teased.

"You have that frequently." He wanted to say all of the time, but his brain...

Steve grinned. "And I know how lucky I am to get it."

Tony tugged him in for a kiss at that. "And I'm thrilled when you take care of me."

"Someone has to," Steve said.

"And that someone happens to be you," he teased.

[heroic_jawline]

"Well, I fought off everyone else who wanted to," Steve said.

Take that, Rhodey and Pepper.

Ohhh nooo. They were devastated!

"Oh, fought them off," Tony said with a laugh. "Were weapons involved?"

"Epic arm wrestling," Steve told him.

"Shirt on or off." Tony Stark. Asking the important questions.

"Rhodey insisted on shirtless," Steve said, completely making all of this up.

"You know, I can see it," Tony replied thoughtfully. "Now, did you get pictures? For science."

"I am not good at remembering to take selfies," Steve said.

"Mayne I should get you one of those sticks." Yes, be a real tourist now, Steve.

"No," Steve said firmly.

"And some Yankees merch to go along with it," Tony said, laughing at Steve's reaction.

"Absolutely no," Steve said, poking him in the stomach.

"It'd be cute!" He was the worst. Truly now.

"Never," Steve promised.

"How about a Dodgers hat?"

Steve paused to consider that. "Still no."

"I'll get you yet," Tony replied, tugging him along.
