The problem with waiting for HYDRA to make the first move was that, once they did, it was a scramble to get into action. Especially when Clint's team was occasionally a little hard to find to call for back up. Stupid magic.

Luckily for Tony, he could make sad eyes at a few people on the island to help keep him alive to stop whatever the hell the Red Skull was planning this time.

He took a quick scan of the warehouse (it was always warehouses) to see what sort of opposition they'd be running into and was a little disturbed and distrustful over how few guards they had.

It was magic, Jess. Magic. Butt the fire snuffed for a moment and Amora stared at her with wide, frightened eyes. "Find Thor. Or more worlds will fall."

Jessica was ready for any number of results. Electrocuting Amora, pulling the necklace away, Amora sending flames down the webline, vaporizing eye blasts. But that? That caught her by surprise. She wasn't going to crack wise at Amora's sudden fear. "I will. Anything else I should tell him? What's happening?"

She was expecting the flames to come back now and a suitably evil answer in response, but it was worth a shot.

Aww, look at Jess being all kinds of genre savvy about this.

The web burned up and a pillar of flames engulfed the area as Amora screamed. It was drowned out by a much deeper, decidedly more ominous voice. "Let him come."

And suddenly all that remained was scorched concrete.

"That's about what I expected," Jessica said, turning around to give her attention to some of the HYDRA goons. If she couldn't stop Amora, she could at least keep some of the chaff away from Tony and Cap.
