Apartment Above Stark Industries, Saturday Afternoon

The storm outside had knocked out the power, but Tony had worked hard on having reduncancies in place for his lab and the apartment.

Sadly that didn't seem to matter when Fandom was being Fandom, so he was bundled up in a winter coat as he worked on converting a lamp into a space heater. It was at 1.0, so there was still room for improvement there. Possibly five different iterations before he would be satisfied with what he'd made.

"It's supposed to be spring," he muttered under his breath angrily.

"Filthy man," he said way more affectionate and awestruck than the phrase should have.

Steve kissed his nose. "I'm going to blush every time I come into the kitchen now."

"Don't let me catch you doing that," Tony replied, a clear promise of a repeat in his tone.

That poor kitchen.

Steve, predictably, blushed. "Oh?" he said, nuzzling Tony's neck.

"Mmhmm," Tony hummed, wrapping his hand around the back of Steve's neck. "In a heartbeat."

"Is it wrong how much I love hearing that?" Steve murmured.

"Never," Tony said, exhaling a shaky, happy breath.

"I'm warm enough now," Steve said with a little chuckle. "I know you were worried."

"Is that a no for more warming up then?" he teased.

"Definitely not," Steve said, kissing him again.

"Waffles, then cuddling," he decided, cuddling up to him anyway.

"Sounds perfect," Steve said, stroking Tony's hair. "...am I making them?"

"While I make you another space heater." Which was equal division of labor.

"That seems more than fair," Steve decided, kissing him softly.

"Thank you, dear."

Steve kissed him again before wrapping only one blanket back around himself and getting the waffles started.

And Tony was going to turn a toaster into something magical in the time it took him.

Because he was driven here.

God, but Steve loved that man to distraction.

He padded around the kitchen, humming as he located the waffles, bacon, and coffee to boil over the stove like heathens who really needed some coffee right now used to do.

Tony only paused once he smelled the coffee. "Oh my god, you're making it on the stove? You really do love me."

Steve smiled bashfully, stirring the pot. "Maybe a little."

Tony turned the toaster turned space heater on before giving him q little hug from behind. Because he wasn't going to interrupt the coffee making.

Steve leaned back into him. "If I'd known a little coffee could make you this happy--" he teased gently.

"I'd been prepared for withdrawal."

Yeah, that indeed the right term for it.

"Aww, sweetheart," Steve said, grinning as he poured out the coffee into a mug. "I wouldn't make you suffer that way."

Tony gave him a look because it was Steve who was suffering here, not him. "You're still my favorite for this."
