Tony had promised to go all out for Steve's birthday and goddamnit, he was doing just what he promised.

He'd probably have to get JARVIS to not spill how much it cost, though. Yeah, that was going on the list.

But it was more than worth the view, watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee while Steve finished up his usual morning marathon.

"I'm doing well?" Steve checked, tilting his head to get more kisses, please.

"So well," Tony replied, kissing him sweetly. "Perfect."

Steve sighed in pleasure. "Love making you happy."

"You make me--" He sighed like he couldn't find the right words for it and kissed him again.

"Incoherent?" Steve teased lightly.

"Happier than I have words for," Tony corrected, biting at his jaw and pressing into him with a little more force.

Yes, that'd teach Steve.

Steve bit his own lower lip, momentarily overwhelmed. "Thank you," he murmured, stroking Tony's hair.

The sap.

"It's just the truth," Tony replied, closing his eyes to enjoy that gentle touch.

"You really are just the most incredible human," Steve said, continuing to play with Tony's hair. "Kind and generous, and you have the most beautiful, expressive eyes."

Tony hid a smile against his shoulder, wrapping both arms around Steve as best he could. "I'm a done deal, Steve."

"I know you are," Steve murmured. "That's why you have to stay here and listen to me say nice things without wondering what I'm trying to get out of complimenting you."

"Cruel man," he teased, biting at the shoulder beneath him.

"That's me," Steve agreed, scratching his nails against Tony's scalp. "I'm so very mean to you."

"Torment me day and night," Tony replied, sounding a little breathless as he stretched out against him like a cat in a sunbeam.

"We're callin' that torment now?" Steve teased, continuing his lazy little scalp massage.

"I certainly feel tormented," he teased, lips brushing against Steve's jaw as he closed his eyes. "Think about you all the time after all."

"I think about you, too," Steve said, kissing Tony's hair.

"I'm hard to forget," he murmured playfully, shifting against him to keep that low hum of arousal going.

"Especially when you do that," Steve agreed, giving Tony's ass a quick squeeze.

"I've corrupted you," he teased, letting out a hiss of pleasure

"In my defense, you have a very distracting ass," Steve said.

"You say the sweetest things." And Tony half meant that!

"That wasn't that sweet," Steve said. "It was honest, though."

"Honesty is sweet." And tended to be rare outside of the dysfunctional family he found in a bunch of superheroes.

Steve gave Tony's ass another little pat. "Thank you?"
