Memorial Day weekend was rarely great for Steve most of the time. And this year he'd had to keep up the PR appearances the majority of the weekend.

Which was why Tony had gone up to meet him for a de-stressing mini trip before going back to real life.

Why camping had been the plan was a real mystery to everyone involved, but there they were.

"It's really not this difficult," Tony muttered to himself as he assembled the tent. Luckily Steve had taken the dog for a quick walk and couldn't see how perplexing the luxury tent was proving to be.

Steve leaned in to kiss him. "This is so swell."

"Isn't it?" he teased, pulling Steve back onto the cot with him so they could continue to kiss like they'd been before.

The cot creaked alarmingly as Steve kissed him back, then stripped his own shirt off over his head.

Tony laughed, heedless of the poor cot as he ran his hands up along Steve's sides. "This was a good idea."

"It was," Steve said, smiling down at him. "We're good at camping!"

Well. Kind of.

Great at it.

"We can do it again sometime this summer." So. Many. Cicadas.

"But not before it gets too hot," Steve said, "or you won't be able to wear a shirt."

"Think we can get AC for the tent?" Tony, no.

"I think you can do absolutely everything," Steve said earnestly.

Tony had to smile at that, looking utterly besotted. "C'mere you," he said, pulling him into a kiss.

Steve kissed him back, sliding his fingers through Tony's hair.

"Amazing, perfect man," Tony murmured into that kiss, pulling him closer and hooking a leg over Steve's hip.

Steve blushed all the way down. "You too."

"Have I mentioned how much I love that blush?" Tony asked, kissing down his neck.

Steve sighed. "Not recently--"

"I love it," Tony said promptly. "You look amazing."

"Thank you," Steve said, still shy with compliments.

Tony kissed him again for that, trying to draw him out of that shell for a moment.

Steve pulled Tony more fully on top of him--the cot could take that, right?--and kissed back, letting his actions say what his mouth couldn't.

The cot creaked a little bit more beneath them, but Tony had no trouble with moving along with him, straddling Steve's hips as he kissed him back.

"Tony," Steve murmured, sliding his fingers along Tony's clothing. "I'm so lucky."

"So am I," Tony said, punctuating each word with a kiss.

"You're also wearing too much," Steve said, smiling up him.

"Yes, dear," Tony said, pushing up to tug his shirt off and toss to the side.

Steve pulled himself up--those abs are just for you, Tony--to run his tongue over Tony's nipple and bite down.
