Well, they'd had another repeat kid. One from a less than ideal timeline from the sound of things. But it was consistent. That had to be good, right?

Right.

At least that's what Tony was hoping as he'd added more backup plans to his list based on the little tidbits she'd dropped here and there. Because that was just how he rolled when faced with bizarre scenarios.

But right now? Right now he was going to spend the evening with Steve to make up for, well, everything about the weekend. "I ordered pizza," he called once he heard Steve and the dog coming back from a walk.

"You as well, darling," Tony murmured.

Steve kissed under Tony's jaw. "You make me ridiculously happy."

"Thank god for that," Tony replied, closing his eyes and enjoying this.

Steve was determined to make this last and started all the way at the bottom with a foot massage, gradually working his way up Tony's legs. "How are you doing?"

"'m good," Tony replied sluggishly. Because someone was leaving him as relaxed as he could possibly ever get.

"You look very happy," Steve said, smiling. "Did I turn your brain off?"

"Just a little." So, so much, Steve.

Steve smiled indulgently, adding more oil to his hands. "And what if I move up here?" he asked, sliding a finger inside.

Tony bit his lip and groaned at that, unable to come up with words for a moment or two. "Might--might need to work on that spot."

Steve chuckled softly. "For how long, you think?"

"At least, a little while longer," Tony replied with a grin.

Steve grinned and leaned in to kiss his nose. "Think you could come just like this?"

"Yeah," Tony replied, grin turning sly. "But it'd be so much nicer to come with you too."

"There's the man I love," Steve said, smiling back.

"I want you caging me in again," he said. "All over me."

Steve moved to straddle Tony's hips. "Like this?"

"Yes," Tony said immediately.

Steve rested his hands just over Tony's shoulders, caging him in. "And this?" he murmured, pressing his body against Tony's.

"Even better," he sighed.

Steve brushed his mouth over Tony's. "And this?" he breathed.

"You know I love that," Tony murmured, pressing up to kiss him.

"Never hurts to check," Steve said, running his fingers over the scarf holding Tony down.

Tony gave him an innocent look like he was being very good here. And not at all bossy.

"And what do you want, sweetheart?"

"I want you," Steve said, "and the only thought you can have is about me."

With Tony's enhancements, he knew that was a generally impossible ask.

"I'll do my best," Tony promised. Because it was rare to have no other thoughts running in the background. Even if he wanted them gone.
