After taking their class here for a museum trip, it was only reasonable to give Steve that date he wanted. Also, it wasn't Olive Garden. A place that made Tony shudder involuntarily.

That whole mention could be blamed on that last bit of weirdness.

"I've heard good things about this place," Tony said, hurrying along the street to the resturant in question.

Steve grinned as he picked up an oyster on the half shell. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry enough to share a shrimp?" Tony asked hopefully.

"For the trauma," Steve teased, holding one out.

"Best husband ever," Tony said in a little sing song.

"That's what I'm aiming for," Steve said, grinning. "You can put up a non-terrifying statue in my honor. We can put it in the ballroom."

Please don't actually do this, Tony.

"I can?" YOU SAID IT, STEVE. NO TAKE BACKS.

Steve's eyes widened because he'd forgotten for a moment exactly who he was married to. "A small, tasteful one. Very small. Very tasteful."

"Tasteful," Tony agreed eagerly. "Of course!"

The largest, most gaudy thing. Made of marble.

"It absolutely cannot light up," Steve added, waggling an oyster shell at him.

"You are tying my hands here!"

"I'm really not," Steve laughed. "Have another shrimp."

"Thank you," Tony sighed, cutting him another slice of steak. Because he was a loving husband. Who wanted those shrimp.

"You're welcome," Steve said, holding his glass out for a refill.

"My apologies, signore," Tony said, pouring more for Steve with a dramatic flourish.

"I'll be taking it out of your tip," Steve threatened like he'd ever not tipped generously in his life.

"Cruel, but fair," Tony replied, topping off his glass as well.

"Well, I have to draw the line sometimes," Steve agreed.

Maybe before you end up with a marble statue of yourself in your own home, Steven.

"Oh, boundaries, is it?"

Tony just needed to figure out how best to light the statue.

"Boundaries," Steve agreed, putting more shrimp onto Tony's plate with a grin. "About the important things."

Which meant more steak was pushed onto Steve's plate in exchange. "The most important things, of course."

"Life altering things," Steve said with a grin, "like how I won't share the oysters."

Tony gasped in fake shock and horror at that. "You'd deprive me of oysters?"

"I would," Steve said, nodding, "and I would only feel a little bad about it."

"That's it," Tony said, pretending he was leaving the table. "Irreconcilable differences."

Steve burst out laughing. "That's the tipping point?"
