So, Tony and Steve hadn't actually talked since everything. Mostly because Steve was busy resting and recovering and Tony was working. Things needed to be disposed of, structural damage repaired, possible financial changes arranged.

Normal, reasonable things!

He wasn't catastrophizing, you were catastrophizing. And just giving Steve time and space to process things. Yes. That was it exactly.

While in one of the rooms Steve didn't go into very often. It was fine.

He tried it in Italian and then French to see about more of those shivers as he worked along Steve's shoulder.

"Keep going," Steve whispered, scratching his nails up Tony's spine.

Tony murmured more "I love you's" as he worked on leaving a mark on the meat of Steve's shoulder. A bruise that wasn't something that made him wince.

Steve moaned quietly. "Just there," he whispered.

Good pain.

"Like that?" Tony asked, sounding much more himself as he breathed a cool breath over the mark.

"Just like that," Steve said, sighing and resting his head against the back of the sofa.

"Relax for me," Tony murmured, pulling back enough to press more kisses to Steve's chest.

Steve sighed again. "I'm relaxing."

That confirmation was something Tony needed.

"Stay," he murmured, moving back until he was kneeling on the floor and pressing between Steve's thighs.

Steve shuddered. "I'll stay."

"Good," Tony replied, kissing Steve's hip and avoiding where he might want more attention for the moment. Because he needed to kiss everything he could first.

Steve slid his fingers through Tony's hair and gave it a small tug.

Tony hummed, tilting his head in the direction he was being pulled. "What would you like, darling?"

"I want you closer," Steve murmured.

Tony pushed in closer between Steve's thighs, placing his hands on his stomach and hips like he couldn't chose where to put them. "I'm here. Right here."

"Good," Steve said. "Now, be creative."

"Keep your hands in my hair," he asked before ducking down to take Steve into his mouth slow enough to make it just cruel.

Steve moaned. "Just like that," he said softly, putting his hands back into Tony's hair and yanking.

Tony went easily where Steve wanted, only resisting once he got a little too close to choking in the moment. But he was working up to more there. Because of course he was.

Steve's free hand went down to cup Tony's cheek. "Don't hurt yourself."

Tony hummed, looking up at him through his lashes. And maybe he slowed down a little at that.

Steve groaned. "God, look at you," he whispered. "You're so good."

Tony's eyes fluttered closed at that abd he hummed around Steve. Look, sometimes he also enjoyed the praise.

Steve realized pretty fast that Tony might need that reinforcement today. He kept one hand firmly in Tony's hair, keeping him in place, but his other hand stayed gentle against Tony's face. "Perfect," he added, starting to sound a little breathless despite himself.

Tony really was that good.

It really helped that Steve knew him that well.

Tony shivered at the additional praise, putting more focus into making this as good for Steve as he possibly could.
