Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree - NYC - Sunday Afternoon

Well, it had felt necessary to do the tourist thing and go look at the tree with the mass of people leading up to the holiday. The urge to do this was quickly passing as they were in the moment of it.

Mostly because it was too cold for Steve and too crowded for the both of them. But it was a pretty tree at least. The lone upside to the whole afternoon here.

"We can say we saw it now," Tony suggested, arm curled around Steve's and all bundled up in winter gear that was probably too expensive for where they were. Like he was just asking to be pickpocketed or something.

(Joke was on them, he never remembered to carry a wallet because why would he?)

"We really should get to a bed," Tony said innocently. "Don't want you to get all pruny."

Steve is very disappointed in you, Tony. "I have to get up?"

Tony beamed at him and hummed in agreement. "I'll get you a towel, sweetheart."

Not that Tony was doing that much better as he got out of the tub, but still.

"Thank you, darling," Steve said dryly.

Tony kissed him as he stood to wrap a towel around himself before offering one to Steve. Kindly. Lovingly.

"There will be payback," Steve promised.

"I did tell you," Tony laughed, heading into the bedroom with wet footprints trailing after him.

"You did," Steve admitted. "That's on me for underestimating your fiendishness."

"That was a mistake on your part," Tony agreed, laying back on the delightfully oversized bed.

Steve moved onto the bed and lifted Tony's leg to press a kiss to his ankle bone. "Your toes are raisins," he teased.

Tony hummed and let his head fall back. "I'm sure yours are springing right on back too," he teased.

"It's the real reason behind the superserum program," Steve said, nodding. "Colonel Phillips hated pruney fingers."

"I should have known," Tony replied solemnly. "It's always the pet peeves that seep into the mad science."

"Which pet peeve led to roller skates?" Steve teased.

Tony laughed at having it turned on him. "The suit--could run out of power. And it's much too heavy to move around easily. So... wheels."

Steve smiled and blew a raspberry into Tony's calf muscle since he was still down there. "I love your brain."

"We can't all be blessed with super strength," Tony laughed.

"It's not as useful as you'd think all the time," Steve said.

"I can think of a few things I'd use it for," Tony said with a suggestive grin.

Steve's cheeks went pink. "I can think of a few things you've had me use it for."

Tony grinned up at him and sighed dreamily. "Oh, those were all fun."

Steve blushed harder. "I like that look on your face," he admitted.

"All for you," Tony said, holding out a hand to pull him down for a kiss.

Steve smiled as he kissed him. "I'm lucky."
