Tony's Workshop in the Tiniest Version of the Stark Tower, Friday Evening

Tony had meant to do something nice for Steve after they got back from their class and all the snow involved in it. He'd really meant to. But instead he'd immediately gotten pulled into a project after a phone call from his R&D department back in New York, needing a solution before Pepper got an ulcer from the stress.

Which meant he went straight to the lab to work it out. And then that turned into tinkering with his dozens of other Stark Industries based projects in various states of completion.

And then from there, he was working on a version of the suit. Mark... look, the number wasn't important. The important thing was that he'd forgotten the original plan. Which he'd realize at some point, right?

Steve grinned. "Guess we both have a thing about manual labor."

"It makes perfect sense for me," Tony replied. "Rich boy and all."

"I just like you grubby," Steve said, smiling.

"You like to make a mess of me," he teased.

"I really do," Steve said.

Tony hummed, kissing his shoulder. "I'll allow it."

"You're just so distracting," Steve murmured.

"I've been very good," Tony insisted quietly. "We've made it more than halfway through the movie!"

"I think that's a new record for us," Steve agreed.

"Think we can finish it?" Oh, a challenge.

"I have faith in us," Steve said, nodding.

Tony hummed, tightening his arms around Steve before relaxing against him. "I like this."

"I like it too," Steve said, kissing the top of Tony's head. "I like you."

"I'd hope so, you married me," he couldn't help but tease.

Steve laughed. "People get married for a lot of reasons," he teased back.

Tony snorted, pressing his face into Steve's shoulder. "So, was it the money or the tech then?"

"It's mostly the sex," Steve said entirely to make Tony laugh.

And it absolutely worked. "I'm talented like that."

Steve grinned at him, cheeks pink. "I've noticed."

"Now all just for you," he teased, giving Steve's middle squeeze.

"I hope I've been suitably appreciative," Steve said.

"You have," Tony agreed. "How much more movie?"

"Have we had the needless misunderstanding yet?" Steve asked. "There's always one."

"Oh, maybe her ex will show up," Tony suggested.

"Does he run a rival bakery with a vineyard?" Steve teased.
