Athens International Airport, Greece - Friday Afternoon

Steve spent the holiday with his scattered team while Tony had spent it with his own. Which was much less upsetting than it seemed like it ought to have been to take time apart after... everything.

But it could have been because they were going to meet back up.

Which was why Tony was keeping a low profile by the Portalocity section of this airport, waiting for Steve to arrive. Not being impatient about it at all. Don't be ridiculous.

"Galley," Tony corrected, kissing him again. "And food. You need it."

Steve smiled. "I thought you wanted to nap."

Or "nap."

"We can do that next," Tony said with a smile. "I'm taking the long way to the island, so we have plenty of time."

Steve's stomach gurgled unhelpfully. "In that case, I think food sounds swell."

Tony offered his hand to help Steve out of the bed. "C'mon then."

Steve slid his fingers through Tony's. "What kind of food do we have?"

"Well, expect a lot of cheese and olives and bread," Tony said. "With very good seafood. Already cooked, so don't worry about that."

Because them.

"Oh good," Steve said, not bothering to hide his relief.

He took cooking classes but he didn't exactly excel.

"It should be chilled stuff." He hadn't been terribly specific in his ordering.

"When it comes to food, I'm very easy," Steve assured him, grinning.

"You and me both," Tony said, going to grab the exorbitantly expensive wine.

Steve, who knew wines by red or white, would have no idea. "What color is that one?" he asked, glancing up from the mini fridge he was perusing.

"A white to go with the seafood." Which was also overpriced. Or perfectly proved based on the taste.

Steve pulled out a plate of smoked fish with a happy noise, then a frankly ridiculous amount of shrimp. "Seafood!"

"Well, when in Greece..." he teased.

"Eat things from the water," Steve agreed. "Is it Greek wine? Do the Greeks make wine?"

"They do, and it is," Tony replied. "I didn't think ouzo would be so great for sea travel, so... wine it is."

"Smart," Steve said, snagging cracker-y things and putting fish onto it.

Tony snagged a shrimp before reaching for the wine glasses. "At least we got our American style Thanksgiving before coming here."

"We had three different kinds of stuffing because everyone wanted a different kind," Steve admitted.

"...there are three different kinds?" Man, Tony hadn't known that.

[heroic_jawline]

"We had cornbread, sausage, and chestnut ones," Steve said. "What did you have?"

"Jan had it catered, so it was just normal bread, I think?" They were lucky it wasn't deconstructed.

Or bruléed.

"There are apparently deeply held thoughts about stuffing and 'I don't like chestnuts' wasn't a position anyone was allowed to have."

"I can't say I've had much in the way of chestnuts outside of trips to Japan," Tony said thoughtfully as he offered Steve his glass of wine.
