Maldives, Tuesday Evening

Somewhere warm and 'please don't buy another building, Tony' had been the two stipulations for Valentine's Day this year. One was easy and the other was just rude.

Because there went any plans to buy Steve a castle.

So, Tony thought on places they had not gone yet and then JARVIS finally picked a resort after Tony went through one too many spreadsheets of potential locations. Because JARVIS was a peach like that.

"So, how do you like it?" Tony asked, looking out at the ocean from their private villa.

Steve kissed the tip of Tony's nose. "I love you."

"I love you too," Tony said, putting a finger under Steve's chin to hold him in place for a proper kiss.

Steve smiled into the kiss. "See? You don't need to ravish me on the daybed."

Not that he would complain about said ravishing. Ever.

"But I could." You know. It was an option.

"Sunset's coming," Steve said. "It'd be romantic--"

"Say less," Tony said, laughing as he pressed a trail of kisses down Steve's throat.

Steve laughed. "Isn't it normally you being hyperverbal?"

"Oh, now you're just being rude," Tony said with a deeply affronted little huff. He also punished Steve with a nip to the exposed skin where the robe fell away from his shoulder.

Steve sighed. "I apologize," he said mostly sincerely.

"Good boy," he teased softly with another bite.

Steve shivered. "We're playing?" he whispered, smiling softly.

"We can always play," Tony replied, pushing on the robe to encourage it to slip off of Steve's shoulder for more of that.

Steve's cheeks went pink. "It seems odd to ask."

"We are on vacation," Tony reminded him. "Normal rules do not apply."

Steve kissed him again. "I forgot."

"So we get to do whatever you like," Tony said, punctuating each word with a kiss.

"As long as you like it too," Steve insisted.

"Yes, dear," Tony replied, cupping Steve's cheek in his hand and smiling at him fondly.

Steve's cheeks heated. "I worry sometimes."

Tony pressed his forehead against Steve's, closing his eyes and smiling as he enjoyed the closeness. "Because you are a good person."

"And I never want to hurt you," Steve sad, smiling back.

[imafuturist]

"My point still stands," Tony murmured, kissing him gently.

Steve curled his hand around the back of Tony's neck and kept him close. "I love you."

"I love you too," Tony murmured, closing his eyes again.
