Ballroom of Stark Towerlet, Saturday Afternoon

So, maybe the whole getting Steve up to speed on roller skating in the ballroom wasn't the best plan. But ice skating was happening without a lot of hot chocolate being provided, so there they were.

And now Steve had a sprained wrist that he was downplaying like his last name was actually Stark or something. Which was rude. Sure, it'd heal with record speed and all, but the principle of the matter!

"Are you sure we don't need to go to the clinic? Or maybe just get Don?"

"I rest my case," Tony said with a nod. "Ice cream is on it's way too."

"I love you and thank you," Steve said, giving his wrist an assessing spin and wincing. Not yet.

Tony made a face at that too. "Blanket?"

"Please," Steve said, frowning at his arm.

Which meant he got the comfortable blanket arranged around him in the amount of time it took for the ice cream to arrive.

"Don't move," Tony said.

Steve pressed his lips together, but nodded. He haaaated being less than 100 percent.

At least he got a whole carton of ice cream out of the deal.

Tony moved as fast as the elevator allowed to come back up with a grocery bag of so, so many varieties of ice cream. "So, uh, which one did you want first?"

"Chocla--holy cow, that's a lot of choices," Steve said.

"I wanted to make sure we wouldn't run out again." By being a crazy person.

Steve smiled. "That should last the week if Thor doesn't stop by."

"...I'll get extra."

The amount he spent on food!

Steve laughed. "I don't have to share," he said. He would. He was Steve.

"But you will." Because he was Steve, yes.

"Well, it'd be rude not to offer," Steve said with a smile.

"Well, pick the one you don't want to share yet," Tony said with a laugh.

Steve poked through the offerings and emerged with and a pleased smile. "I'll share with you, too."

"Because you love me," Tony said in a little sing-song. "I'll get the spoons and put these away."

"Yes, I love you," Steve said with a grin.

"You married me even!"

[heroic_jawline]

"And I'd do it again," Steve said with a soft smile.

Tony returned with the spoons, looking absolutely besotted. "Why, thank you, Captain Rogers. I'd do the very same."

"I'm very glad to hear that," Steve said with a blush.

Tony leaned over to kiss him as he deposited the spoons. Because obviously Steve needed it with a blush like that.

Steve kissed him back. "Hi."

"Hello," Tony said, letting out a little sigh.
