A Private Villa That Totally Cost Too Much, Amalfi Coast, Italy - Sunday Morning

Tony had promised to go all out for Steve's birthday and goddamnit, he was doing just what he promised.

He'd probably have to get JARVIS to not spill how much it cost, though. Yeah, that was going on the list.

But it was more than worth the view, watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee while Steve finished up his usual morning marathon.

Steve smiled and kissed him back. "The best vacation."

The only one he'd ever had.

Tony would very gladly fix that problem for him. "Cuore mio," he said, smiling back at him.

"Cushlamachree," Steve replied fondly, giving the Irish a more Brooklyn edge.

Which made it purely Steve to Tony.

"Get cleaned off," Tony said with a wide, bright grin. "I plan on pampering you all week long."

"Will there be snacks?" Steve asked, grinning back.

"I--" Tony leaned in for another kiss as he shifted off Steve's body and onto the bed. "--am going to handfeed you fruit and chocolate."

"That sounds like exactly what I need right now," Steve said. "I'll hop in the shower and be back in about...four and a half minutes?"

"Deal," Tony replied, kissing him again before rolling off the bed to hunt down a different shower. "I'll meet you on the veranda."

Hopefully Steve remembered where that was. Also what that was.

"That's outside, right?" Steve checked.

"Balcony," he amended without skipping a beat.

"I knew that!" Steve said.

Nooooot really, nope.

Tony laughed, shaking his head as he walked away. "Never doubted you for a second."

Steve blushed as he wandered around, naked, and finally found a bathroom. He took a quick, brutally hot shower, and slung a towel around his waist. He'd find pants eventually, right? This place couldn't be that big...

It sort if could be. But that would at least give Tony the time to also wash up and hunt down snacks. While wearing Steve's sleep pants. Oops?

"Steve? You get lost?"

"So that's where my pants went," he said, grinning at Tony's legs.

"I thought they were mine." Yes, because they looked like they were just his size, having to be rolled up and sitting low on his hips.

[heroic_jawline]

"Of course you did," Steve said, kissing his forehead. "I'll go put yours on, then?"

That'd go well.

Tony made a pleased sound, eyes dropping down to slits at the mental image. "Sure."

It'd be either skin-tight or rip.

"Our room is that way?" Steve checked, pointing in the wrong direction.

"Hmm?" Steve, don't ask him things while he was distracted!

[heroic_jawline]

"I'll find them," Steve said with a laugh, heading the wrong way and then realizing his mistake.

"Got 'em!" he said a few minutes later. "They look pretty ridiculous."

"Won't stay on too long," Tony said to himself. But, you know, super soldier hearing and all that.

"Because they'll rip when I sit down?" Steve said teasingly, coming back out.

Tony immediately made grabby hands for him with the same fervor that he put into reaching for his first cup of coffee of the day. Which was some of the highest praise he could get.

Steve, who knew that gesture far too well, laughed as he came closer. "So I'm as good as coffee now?"
