JARVIS and the Mouse overlord had pushed some older movies up into Steve's List of Things to Watch to Understand Tony's References. Though some of them may have just been added because healthy levels of strife were good for the soul.

"Couldn't we watch that new Space Battles show?" Tony asked, concerned for Steve's taste levels here.

"Because I don't want to poison you," Tony said, gesturing at him with a spring roll.

"True love," Steve said with a grin.

"Damn right," Tony replied with a little nod. "It's up there with sharing my coffee."

Steve kissed Tony's nose. "That's when I first wondered if this might go the distance."

"Yeah?" Tony, don't be sappy.

Steve smiled, soft and sincere. "I know how much you love coffee."

"Should I start calling you my handsome blonde latte next?" he teased, leaning into Steve's side to snag some Pad Thai.

"Please don't," Steve said, stealing two egg rolls in return.

"But you're so handsome!" Tony replied, purposely missing the point there.

"Thank you," Steve said, grinning. "Still no."

"That just opens the door for other pet-names," Tony pointed out.

Patriot, having realized there was food, took a running leap at the bed.

The side of the bed. Oh, he was so tiny still.

Steve burst out laughing, coming dangerously close to knocking over the curry. "Oh, pup. That was...something."

"Should I get him a little set of stairs?" Tony, no.

"Do you want him up here and licking your feet while we're otherwise occupied?" Steve countered, raising an eyebrow.

"...no," Tony agreed, looking suitably horrified.

Steve kissed his cheek. "Then down he stays. Fortunately he's really short."

Patriot made deeply sad little noises from the floor.

"So dramatic," he teased.

Tony was enough of a sucker to sneak him a little corner of a spring roll. Sorry, Steve.

"I think he gets that from you."

"I'm not any more dramatic than you are," Steve protested.

"You're pretty dramatic," Tony countered. Wrongly.

"Name one time."

"You did burn SHIELD to the ground." Oh, snap!

"In my defense, you would have done the same thing."

"Not the exact same thing!"

He just straight up had a paranoid episode where he didn't remove the armor for, like, a week. And ended up having to use Doom's help. Ugh.

"Well, maybe," Steve conceded, stealing the last eggroll before it could get fed to Patriot.

Tony was weak against sad, puppy eyes, okay? He was weak.

"Also, to make it a direct correlation, other me would need to be replaced by a HYDRA clone."

The fact that this was idle conversation over Thai food was probably weird, wasn't it?
