Steve spent the holiday with his scattered team while Tony had spent it with his own. Which was much less upsetting than it seemed like it ought to have been to take time apart after... everything.

But it could have been because they were going to meet back up.

Which was why Tony was keeping a low profile by the Portalocity section of this airport, waiting for Steve to arrive. Not being impatient about it at all. Don't be ridiculous.

Steve rather desperately needed to believe that today.

"Good," Steve said. "I'm planning on being around until you're as old as I am right now."

"You won't mind me getting all grey and wrinkly?" Tony asked, kissing him.

"It beats the alternative," Steve said, kissing him back. "Especially in our line of work."

"That's the goal, then," Tony murmured.

"I want to be married to Old Man Stark," Steve said with a twinkle in his eyes.

"Oh, and I get blond arm candy here?" Tony asked, smiling back at him.

"I assume I'll age eventually," Steve said.

"That doesn't keep you from being arm candy," Tony insisted.

Steve leaned in to kiss him. "You're biased."

"Never. I'm very objective."

"Are you, though?" Steve teased.

"I am a scientist, Steven," Tony informed him solemnly.

"Have you been measuring my arm candy worthiness?" Steve asked.

"Oh, from the start."

"And what's your scientific conclusion?" Steve asked.

"Yep," Tony agreed brightly.

"Yep," Steve repeated. "Very scientific."

"Am I arm-candy for you?" Tony asked, batting his eyes.

"Oh, it's the entire reason I'm here," Steve told him.

"I knew it," Tony said with a dramatic sigh.

Steve kissed the dramatic pout.

"I," Tony began, kissing him back. "Think you need some wine."

"I've been known to have a glass or two," Steve agreed. "Is there a kitchen on this thing too?"

"Galley," Tony corrected, kissing him again. "And food. You need it."

Steve smiled. "I thought you wanted to nap."
