Somewhere warm and 'please don't buy another building, Tony' had been the two stipulations for Valentine's Day this year. One was easy and the other was just rude.

Because there went any plans to buy Steve a castle.

So, Tony thought on places they had not gone yet and then JARVIS finally picked a resort after Tony went through one too many spreadsheets of potential locations. Because JARVIS was a peach like that.

"So, how do you like it?" Tony asked, looking out at the ocean from their private villa.

Steve smiled. "I'll be the robes here are really swell, too," he said. "Let me go find out."

"Slippers too!" Oh yeah, getting Steve used to the finer things.

Never let him figure out how much the complimentary champagne was!

"Slippers too," Steve agreed, ducking into the bedroom and getting distracted by staring out at the ocean there, too.

Look, he had to be over the top to express his feelings! By spending way too much.

Tony popped open the champagne and poured two glasses as he looked down at the ocean floor beneath them.

Steve padded back out of the bedroom in the robe and no slippers. "I decided to stay barefoot so I can put my feet in the pool," he explained. "Because we have our own pool."

"Feeling relaxed yet?" Tony asked, grinning as he offered Steve his champagne.

"I'm feeling incredibly pampered," Steve admitted, taking the glass and settling by the pool.

"Good," Tony replied brightly. "Because once you finish your drink I'm going to ravish you against that day bed."

So romantic, Anthony.

Steve snorted champagne out his nose, so it was an equally romantic response.

"Are you?"

Tony grinned and nodded at him. Lovingly.

"Unless you have objections to this plan."

"No objections," Steve said with a grin. "Maybe a tiny question about the way it was presented--"

"I said ravish! That's romantic," Tony said, laughing.

"Ravish is only slighly romantic," Steve said, smiling again.

"Make love?" Tony suggested, grinning around his glass. "Seduce?"

"I like seduce," Steve said, smiling back. "Ravish seems too much like last weekend."

"Where you taught me what love was?" Tony asked, laughing into Steve's shoulder.

"To slow jazz," Steve agreed. "It was very romantic."

"I was wooed," Tony agreed. "And I didn't buy out your B&B."

"And turn it into a Marriott?" Steve teased, frowning. "Hilton? Best Western?"

"It was a Hilton," Tony replied solemnly. "A company I was a middle manager at."

Because that was a thing Tony would be.

Steve burst out laughing. "Executive Vice President for the Midwest."

Tony made a disgruntled noise. "You are a cruel man, you know that?"

Steve frowned lightly. "I am not."

"Cruel," Tony repeated, pressing a kiss to Steve's shoulder.

"Cruel would be tossing you into the pool for making me feel badly about myself," Steve said.
