Ballroom of Stark Towerlet, Saturday Afternoon

So, maybe the whole getting Steve up to speed on roller skating in the ballroom wasn't the best plan. But ice skating was happening without a lot of hot chocolate being provided, so there they were.

And now Steve had a sprained wrist that he was downplaying like his last name was actually Stark or something. Which was rude. Sure, it'd heal with record speed and all, but the principle of the matter!

"Are you sure we don't need to go to the clinic? Or maybe just get Don?"

"Thanks," Steve said with a smile. "You're the best."

"Keep that in mind next time you're mad at me," Tony suggested with an answering grin.

Steve laughed. "Depends what you may have done."

"But I got you ice cream!"

That totally excused scientific abominations.

"You did," Steve said.

"That means I'm exempt for a bit at the very least, right?"

"For now," Steve agreed as the elevator opened on their floor.

"Yaaaay." Tony, no.

[heroic_jawline]

Steve laughed. "Are you planning to misbehave?"

"I just happen to know myself," Tony said, leaning in for a careful kiss.

Steve laughed and kissed him back. "That's what I love about you: you know yourself."

"Okay, couch for you," Tony said with a nod. "I'll grab an ice pack for your wrist."

"Thanks," Steve said as Patriot launched himself at them for the crime of leaving him alone for a half hour.

"And I'll distract the dog with peanut butter."

Tony, you had to know that word would set him off to a crazy level.

Oh, Patriot definitely knew that word. He went racing towards the kitchen. "That dog does not need a jetpack," Steve commented with a chuckle.

"In case of an emergency," Tony insisted, following the dog at a much more sedate pace.

"What sort of emergency?" Steve asked, stretching onto the couch with his arm resting up.

"Island invasions!" Tony shouted back.

"Going after corgis?"

[imafuturist]

"Is that weirder than MODOK showing up in a crop top?" Tony asked, appearing with an ice pack and no dog. They had fifteen minutes before Patty was done.

"Nothing has been weirder than that," Steve admitted.

"I rest my case," Tony said with a nod. "Ice cream is on it's way too."

"I love you and thank you," Steve said, giving his wrist an assessing spin and wincing. Not yet.

Tony made a face at that too. "Blanket?"

"Please," Steve said, frowning at his arm.
