Tony was regretting the number of dogs he'd ended up with here. Mostly because he was presently covered in them as he tried to go through work emails. Tried was the key word there because they were being needy and competitive for the attention he could provide.

"Steve, you can turn back any moment now," he just sighed as he was up to his neck in fur.

It'd be so nice if things worked that way, wouldn't it?

Patriot went skittering off to defend his toys, just in case, while Steve took a quick shower and a long time brushing his teeth.

When he'd find Tony again, the puppies were chewing on some material that was still in the stress test phase of being used for either Stark Industries or Iron Man. Or both, possibly.

And Tony was trying to take notes as Fee lay directly across his legs as she chewed.

"Are you using our dogs for science?" Steve teased.

"It's the only thing she hasn't broken," Tony insisted. "Liberty is the control group."

"Do I want to know what it's made of?" Steve asked.

"Prototype. Can't share," Tony said solemnly. "It's proprietary, after all."

"Oh, of course," Steve said with a grin. "I apologize." He clapped his hands together. "Okay, gang, let's go outside!"

Pandemonium.

"Good luck," Tony called over the noise.

"We'll be back!" Steve said as he got yanked in three different directions. "Eventually."

At least he was strong enough to not get pulled over nearly as much.

"Get snacks!"

How did the puppies know that word, too?

"For us or them?" he asked.

"Both?" Tony suggested. " One of those puppies would end up trying to climb Steve for the treats.

It was going to be Fee, wasn't it?

"I can do that," Steve promised, leaning in for a quick kiss. "Enjoy the quiet."

Maybe assess the damage...

She had a lot of energy, okay?

"I'll be ordering puppy-proofing things."

And then making them himself when they failed.

"Don't go too nuts," Steve said, then added, "right, JARVIS?"

"Safety precautions may be in the best interest of all, Captain."

Well, someone was well researched on the breeds chosen.

JARVIS was, perhaps, the only one.

"We'll be back in a bit," Steve repeated, tugging the dogs towards the stairs.

"Don't let them trip you!"

"If they do, you'll never hear about it," Steve laughed back.

Tony snorted and began a truly massive order to be shipped to them ASAP for training and puppy-proofing the place. And extra toys. So many extra toys.

He might have also fallen down a rabbit hole of some of the things necessary for the health and wellness of the new breeds they'd gotten.

Steve eventually returned home with a completely tired out Patriot, a mostly done Liberty, and Fee who could go another hour.

"We're back!"

"So, how did you feel about boot camp?" Tony asked because he was on a roll here with these plans!

"I think that sounds like an excellent idea."

[imafuturist]

"Perfect. That's apparently what Fee needs. And Liberty needs to run. A lot."

And snow. Sorry, Steve.

"I have no problem with the running," Steve said with a grin. "Patty might have some problems with the running."
