Tony had promised to go all out for Steve's birthday and goddamnit, he was doing just what he promised.

He'd probably have to get JARVIS to not spill how much it cost, though. Yeah, that was going on the list.

But it was more than worth the view, watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee while Steve finished up his usual morning marathon.

"Nah," Tony replied, closing his eyes to use Steve as a very sticky pillow. "I'll remember that when--just at times."

Steve laughed, rumbly and deep in his chest. "It's true."

"You say that while I'm still handsome," Tony joked, mouthing a little bite at Steve's chest in response.

"I'd say that if you'd turned bright blue," Steve said. "As long as it wore off eventually, of course."

"I could probably tweak the under-suit to have more blue in it." Tony, no.

"Not necessary, sweetheart," Steve chuckled.

Tony sighed, relaxing against him further. He brushed his thumb over Steve's skin lazily as he watched the clear blue skies out the window of the too extravagant room. "I like thinking about a future with you," he murmured.

"Mmm," Steve said, smiling softly. "Me too. What do you see?"

"You asking about the usual stuff?" Tony asked even as he pictured the sappiest things.

"What counts as usual for us?" Steve asked with a small smile.

"Marriage, kids," Tony replied, twisting a little to press a kiss to his chin. "For us? Maybe a multi-universal team."

Steve's smile turned wistful. "Think they'd help me track Bucky down?"

That was an interesting jump there, Steve.

"Why wouldn't they?"

[heroic_jawline]

"Your Buck seemed pretty set on me leavin' him alone," Steve murmured.

"My Bucky has a warehouse full of issues with you," Tony corrected. "Him. Its complicated."

"It feels wrong," Steve said quietly. "Like having a part of my body not working right, having him be upset with me. Exasperated, all the time. But actually angry?" He pressed his lips together. "Avoiding me? No."

"He's not the person he once was," Tony replied, running a soothing hand over Steve's shoulders. "Neither are you."

Steve sighed, closing his eyes. "In my head, I know. My gut's still taking it awfully personally."

"No one gets under your skin more than family," he said, kissing Steve on the cheek again.

"Ain't that the truth," Steve muttered.

"Want me to try again with him?" Tony asked, stretching up so he could kiss him on the temple.

If he played his cards right, he might be able to get Barton to get on Romanoff's case. Who would in turn get on Barnes'.

If it worked and didn't explode in some weird love triangle.

Steve sighed and closed his eyes. "You think he won't figure out that I'm asking?"

"Oh, he'll know," Tony replied with a shrug. "I'm used to this game."

"Then do it," Steve said. "Lord knows he already knows I'm stubborn."

"Consider it done," Tony said, kissing him gently. Because it was probably a little sad all that he would do to make Steve happy.
