Apartment Above Stark Industries, Valentine's Day

There wasn't a massive stuffed animal or way, way too many flowers waiting for Steve in the apartment this year. If only because Tony had learned his lesson about those. Kind of.

He hadn't learned his lesson about making reservations at places that Steve could never, ever learn the real price tag of.

And there were still just a few dozen roses in hiding for when Steve finished getting ready to go. Look, he was doing his best at being restrained here!

Tony hummed happily, kissing him again. "Where'd you leave your surprises?"

"Inside jacket pocket," Steve said.

"Naughty, naughty," he teased, only letting go of him to search for them. "Had these things on you the whole time."

"Well, I liked it so much last year when you had the surprise," Steve said.

"Well, you knew I was shameless," Tony replied, setting the cuffs to the side for now, but keeping the lube.

"I like to surprise you, too, sometimes," Steve murmured.

"My cup runneth over," he only half teased, unbuttoning his own shirt.

Steve ogled him shamelessly. "You are so handsome."

Tony glanced back at him, slowing down a little to make more of a show of getting undressed. He took extra care to keep the little shield cuff links from getting lost in the shuffle of things.

"Thank you for that," Steve said, kissing him after he'd put the cuff links aside.

"I'll have to wear them more often for you," Tony replied, tugging playfully on Steve's tie as he kissed back.

"Yes, please," Steve sighed, squeezing Tony's ass.

"Get me out of my pants and you'll see your logo on more of me," he teased. Because Captain America underwear had been the original plan to be nice to Steve.

"You didn't get an ass tattoo, right?" Steve checked.

Tony rested his forehead on Steve's shoulder, trying to keep from laughing. Mostly failing. "Darling, I love you. But I'm not getting a tattoo to express it."

"Oh, thank God," Steve said, kissing Tony's hair.

"One of these days I'm going to get a fake tattoo and really mess with you." Massive fake tramp stamp.

Steve gave Tony's ass another little caress. "Ruining perfection, really," he teased.

"Oh, smooth," Tony replied, rolling his hips.

Steve let out a slightly breathless laugh. "I try."

"You succeed," Tony corrected, keeping that up.

Steve made a pleased little hum. "I love you."

"Happy Valentine's Day," Tony replied, kissing him again as he tugged a little clumsily at the buttons of his own shirt.

"Happy Valentine's Day, love," Steve echoed, being very helpful in the clothing removal business.

He wanted to see what Tony was wearing.

Which made Tony laugh quietly with delight. He tugged on Steve's hair with one hand and pushed himself up onto his knees enough to wriggle his pants down to show off the novelty underwear his picked out for the evening.
