Central Park, NYC - Tuesday Evening

So Steve was back to normal, but that didn't stop him from wanting to go on a walk. And what better place to go walking and enjoy the tail end of summer than to head on back to New York for a date night?

Okay, so maybe there were plenty of other places that didn't involve the heat or the faint summer scent of garbage. But they were New Yorkers and therefore in New York, smell and all. At least they probably didn't have to worry about any kind of alien invasions.

Hopefully.

"Or Connecticut," Steve added. "Or Chicago."

"The pizza is a casserole!" Guys, must you?

Of course they must!

"If you have to eat it with a fork, you're doing it wrong," Steve declared, going full Brooklyn in the attitude if not the accent.

"Right?" They were never allowed in the Midwest. Never.

"Right!"

"Let's get halal chicken first," he added.

"With garlic sauce," Tony agreed. If they both had it, it'd be fine.

"Extra garlic sauce," Steve said eagerly. "And a hot dog." The hot dog might cancel the halal chicken.

"And then tacos and then pizza," he teased.

"It's like you know me," Steve said with a grin. "Anything you're hungry for?"

Tony hummed and considered it as he curled his arm around Steve's. "Next time we'll have to do dim sum, don't you think?"

"I like dim sum," Steve said eagerly.

There wasn't a lot of food he didn't like! Other than Chicago-style pizza, of course.

Because he had taste.

"Weekend spent back in the city maybe?" Tony suggested.

Steve's face lit up. "That sounds swell!" He grinned. "We can spend time at that hotel you bought because you didn't feel like walking."

Anthony.

"It's just a small hotel!" C'mon now. "And it's doing very well."

"Of course it is," Steve said with an earnest smile. "You're an incredible businessman."

"Plus I put it in your name." Anthony.

Steve gaped at him. "I'm sorry?"

"It's good for business!" Also, Steve had a place to stay in the city that was all his!

"But I don't know about running a hotel!" Steve flailed.

"Oh, other people run it," Tony said, waving him off.

"What other people?" Steve asked. "Pepper?"

Steve trusted Pepper to do anything.

"The manager," Tony said, struggling for a moment before coming up with a name. "Doing a great job. Barely needs any input beyond big purchases."

"What kind of big purchases?" Steve asked faintly.

"I don't know... Furniture? Maybe renovations." He just signed the checks, honestly.

"No secret lairs?" Steve checked. The Skrulls were still on his mind, okay?
