Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree - NYC - Sunday Afternoon

Well, it had felt necessary to do the tourist thing and go look at the tree with the mass of people leading up to the holiday. The urge to do this was quickly passing as they were in the moment of it.

Mostly because it was too cold for Steve and too crowded for the both of them. But it was a pretty tree at least. The lone upside to the whole afternoon here.

"We can say we saw it now," Tony suggested, arm curled around Steve's and all bundled up in winter gear that was probably too expensive for where they were. Like he was just asking to be pickpocketed or something.

(Joke was on them, he never remembered to carry a wallet because why would he?)

"I'll leave you and curl up in the bed with pizza by myself," Tony said with a little sniff of mock disdain.

Steve kissed Tony's shoulder. "No, you won't."

Tony hummed, considering his options. "I could."

But he wouldn't.

"You could do whatever you want, but I think you'll stay," Steve murmured.

"I'll stay," Tony agreed, closing his eyes and resting his head on Steve's shoulder.

Steve sighed happily. "Thought you might."

Tony sighed as he reached for Steve's hands to thread his fingers along with for a nice connection as he soaked up the warmth here with Steve. "You're lucky, Rogers."

Steve squeezed Tony's fingers. "Don't I know it," he said earnestly.

"Good holiday so far?" Tony asked, moving their joined hands to rest on his chest.

"Hot chocolate and a naked man in my bath?" Steve teased softly. "My holiday is more than just good."

Tony laughed. "So a clothed man would have ranked lower on the scale, right?"

"A clothed man in a bathtub is just strange," Steve said with a grin.

"An accident," Tony agreed.

"Probably," Steve said. He squeezed Tony's fingers. "And how are you?"

"I'm good," Tony replied with a sigh. "Great. Happy to be here with you."

Steve curled his arms around Tony and pulled him back against him. "Good."

"How about you?" Tony asked, glancing back at him with his head resting on Steve's shoulder.

Steve tilted his head to kiss him softly. "I'm very happy."

Tony smiled at that, reaching up a damp hand to cup Steve's cheek. "Perfect."

"I love you," Steve murmured, smiling softly.

"Love you too," Tony replied immediately.

"Wanna make out in a tub?" Steve asked.

"Of course I do," he said, laughing.

"Good," Steve said, kissing him.
