Tony was regretting the number of dogs he'd ended up with here. Mostly because he was presently covered in them as he tried to go through work emails. Tried was the key word there because they were being needy and competitive for the attention he could provide.

"Steve, you can turn back any moment now," he just sighed as he was up to his neck in fur.

It'd be so nice if things worked that way, wouldn't it?

"She is very sweet," Steve agreed, reaching out to scratch her behind the ears.

"So, it's okay?" Tony asked hopefully. He couldn't return them now. Not after they'd slept on him the whole week and also chewed through three Kongs.

Steve leaned in to kiss him. "We're not returning any of the dogs," he said softly. "You don't actually think I would ask for that?"

"Well..." Tony considered it objectively. "I guess not."

"As long as Patty's good with the company, I'm fine," Steve said.

Steve might rethink this once or twice once Libby started getting comfortable and began singing the song of her people.

Well. Thankfully they'd soundproofed between the floors.

"He's been having fun, I think. And sleeping like the dead trying to keep up with them both."

It was hilarious right now. But give it time.

"Poor Patty," Steve said, giving the corgi a pat. "They aren't fighting him to sleep in the shield, right?"

"Oh no, it's more... Fee keeps trying to drag it around with Patty on it?" Which was also adorable. Right now. "They suggested we start a lot of training for the two of them for enrichment."

They were going to learn to use the elevator all on their own.

"We can definitely do that," Steve said. "Maybe we can use some of the ballroom for an obstacle course."

Fee was going to be a menace. "I'm sure you can make something challenging," Steve said with a grin. "These gals seem very smart."

"And they'll do a little better at keeping up with you on your runs than Patty." Longer legs and all. Plus, both wanted to always be running.

Steve grinned. "That'll be nice," he said. "I'll see if they can keep up with my stride."

Nope, but not for a lack of trying.

"Well, maybe start a little slower since they're still puppies," Tony suggested.

"That makes sense," Steve said. "And don't make them rocket boots."

"Much older," Steve insisted.

"Deal," Tony said, offering his hand to shake. It was immediately gnawed on.

Steve nudged Fee's teeth out of the way to shake Tony's hand. "Deal." He turned to the dogs. "Ready for a walk, gang?"

They lost their minds.

"So, I'm thinking we get you one of those leashes that you wear around your waist," Tony said over the noise.

You know. The ones for runners.

"Probably a good idea," Steve said. "This is a lot of energy!"

The number of pieces of furniture that would be destroyed in the meantime.

They'd been designed for super-soldiers and gods, not gnawing monsters!

"We've needed a challenge," Steve agreed.

"Exactly," Tony agreed, watching them run in circles around Steve. "If nothing else, it'll keep us busy this summer."
