Tony had promised to go all out for Steve's birthday and goddamnit, he was doing just what he promised.

He'd probably have to get JARVIS to not spill how much it cost, though. Yeah, that was going on the list.

But it was more than worth the view, watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee while Steve finished up his usual morning marathon.

"Oh, I'm in no hurry, darling," Steve said softly. "You are worth taking apart."

That sounds was a little more desperate in response. "Taking apart?"

Why so cruel, Steven?

"Like you've done to me a few times," Steve murmured. "Fair's fair--"

"You look so beautiful when I do that," he grumbled.

[heroic_jawline]

"And I want to get to see you look just that beautiful, too," Steve said, curling his fingers.

"I look a mess," Tony insisted breathlessly, arms straining as he held onto the headboard.

"My mess," Steve said. "All stretched out and begging for it--"

Tony's breath definitely caught at what Steve was saying and he gasped for air. "All yours," he murmured.

"I will never, ever get over that," Steve murmured, crooking his fingers again and then stretching them wider. "Why on earth you chose me."

"Steve," Tony said like that was a ridiculous question. Because clearly Steve was the one dating down here.

He continued to clutch the headboard like a lifeline, digging his heels into the bed to get more of that.

Steve shivered at that tone and slowly added another finger.

Which was terribly kind of him. So kind that Tony groaned nice and loud for him despite his attempts to keep it in. "Have--have I mentioned how much I love your fingers?"

"You have, but say it again," Steve said, voice going husky and low.

Tony bit off a curse, squirming in place at how Steve sounded there. He would literally never be able to keep from reacting to that.

"So good in me," he babbled. "You could press them into me at any time and I'd just--just take it."

"Any time, hmm?" Steve hummed. "In the workshop?"

He was a tad focused on the workshop.

It was something that Tony would never deter him on at least!

"Yes," Tony agreed, glancing over at him through his eyelashes. "Just bend me over what I'm working on."

"Do you have lube in your drawer?" Steve murmured.

[imafuturist]

"Got some when you first mentioned it." Of course he did.

[heroic_jawline]

Steve shivered. "I will definitely remember that."

Then twisted his fingers to reward Tony for such great initiative.

Tony made a choked off sound, causing the headboard to creak again and his knuckles to go white as he held on tightly.

"Anytime you want, babe--"

"Not just yet," Steve whispered. "You're so beautiful just like this--"

"Strained?" Tony asked with a, well, strained laugh.

[heroic_jawline]

"Yes," Steve laughed.

[imafuturist]

"You've become cruel, Steve," he replied, glancing away even as it made him smile still.

Steve curled his fingers again. "Maybe," he agreed, "but I think you like this."
