Well, that'd been an interesting end of the week.

Tony was somehow still cleaning up after the party, frowning at the disturbing collection of chip flavors leftover from it.

"Maybe Kitty would like them?" he muttered to himself. Pregnant women were supposed to have odd cravings, right?

"You love that part too," Steve said, smiling at him.

"Fair," he replied, leaning into him and depending on Steve to keep them both upright.

Steve was more than happy to cling to Tony for as long as he'd let him.

Tony sighed and closed his eyes. "I think I'll pass on a repeat of those years next time."

"You don't want to relive the awkward sex talk over and over?" Steve teased.

Steve, you were the worst.

Tony groaned, clinging to him more. "Why do you hate me?" he straight up whined.

"You were extremely sweet," Steve said, "which is no surprise at all."

"So were you," he said, sighing again quietly. "At least we didn't have a fight like it sounds like Hardison and Eliot had."

Steve winced. "Yeah, that would've been absolutely awful," he said, tightening his hold on Tony.

"People grow and change," Tony said, reaching up to brush Steve's hair back. "So does society."

"I was looking over my shoulder the entire week," Steve admitted softly. "I didn't do a quarter of what we were up to in Brooklyn and was black and blue for just looking the way I did."

Tony gave him a kiss for that. "Rhodey was pretty much one of the few people who knew I liked guys too back then. And that was at least fifty years past your era."

"Your parents really would've cut you off for that?" he asked, sliding his fingers through Tony's and squeezing.

"Howard? Probably," Tony said, taking a deep breath and shrugging like he didn't care either way. "No son of his and all that."

Steve's jaw clenched in righteous indigation. "He was wrong, and I would've told him so."

"I'm picturing tiny you telling him that and it's the best thing possible," Tony said, kissing him again, to loosen up that tension in Steve's jaw.

"Tiny me was possibly more reckless than regular me," Steve admitted.

"Somehow."

Steve laughed. "Well, I didn't really think long-term planning was going to be all that helpful," he admitted.

Tony made a disgruntled noise at that, kissing him again in case Steve thought that was okay to think now.

Steve rubbed Tony's back soothingly. "Not planning on going anywhere now," he said.

"Damn right you're not," Tony replied, loving his hands up to cup Steve's face.

Steve smiled at him. "Love you."

"Love you too," Tony replied, kissing him one more time. "Those chips taste awful, though."

"They really do," Steve admitted. "Why didn't I just end up with a bunch of barbecue?"
