Tony shot up, one hand immediately going to his now perfectly normal chest before registering where he was.

"Time'z'it?" he mumbled, pressing the heel of his hand against the bridge of his nose stabilize the pounding in his head as he quickly silenced all the data feeds surging in at once. Again, no clue how natural telepaths lived like this all the time.

"It is currently 1:26 P.M. Eastern standard time," JARVIS supplied helpfully.

He untangled himself from the throw blanket and sat up on the couch to glare at where Fox News was still quietly playing on the TV. Because Tony was a masochist.

Ugh, naps were simultaneously the best and worst things in the world.

"I'll get you to like other scifi too," Tony said, a little relieved. "Especially if you like space."

He'd get the biggest crush on Ripley. "I'm not opposed to space," Steve said. "It's full of possibilities, when it's not full of aliens trying to take over."

"Granted, he only says 'I am Groot,'" Tony replied. "And packs one hell of a punch."

"Why are you getting punched by a talking tree, Tony," Steve asked.

"A misunderstanding." A beat. "We didn't realize we were harboring a galactic fugitive."

He shrugged like 'what can you do?'

Steve sighed heavily. "So you gave the fugitive to the tree?"

"To his team." Tony rolled his eyes. "Called themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy. And people think I'm pretentious."

"Wow," Steve said. "Your world really does get the good names."

And by good he meant ridiculous.

"Shut up," Tony replied with a shove. "It's awful. I think people just gave up on trying to make things normal."

"I blame the Nazis," Steve decided. "They were notorious for having no sense of humor."

"I'm comfortable blaming them," Tony decided. "Did yours summon frost trolls too? Because that seems like the starting point if you ask me."
