Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree - NYC - Sunday Afternoon

Well, it had felt necessary to do the tourist thing and go look at the tree with the mass of people leading up to the holiday. The urge to do this was quickly passing as they were in the moment of it.

Mostly because it was too cold for Steve and too crowded for the both of them. But it was a pretty tree at least. The lone upside to the whole afternoon here.

"We can say we saw it now," Tony suggested, arm curled around Steve's and all bundled up in winter gear that was probably too expensive for where they were. Like he was just asking to be pickpocketed or something.

(Joke was on them, he never remembered to carry a wallet because why would he?)

"Pizza in a bathtub sounds decadent," Steve said, finding the bubbly stuff. "This smells familiar!"

"You said you liked it!" And that explained everything if you asked him.

"Did I?" Steve asked, blinking.

"In Paris that one time," Tony said, peeking in with a phone in hand.

Steve's whole face lit up. "You really remembered that?"

"You don't always say when you like something, so I made a note."

Possibly in a spreadsheet somewhere.

Steve stood up from the bath to go over and give Tony a kiss. "Thank you."

"I like giving you things, " Tony murmured into the kiss.

"I know you do," Steve said, kissing him back, "and this gift was very thoughtful."

"I'll keep that in mind for the future," Tony said, maybe a little (a lot) smug at the reaction.

"I don't want the Dodgers," Steve said, kissing Tony's nose. "This is better."

"But I could get them for you!" This would forever be an argument.

"But I don't want them, Tony," Steve said. "Let them stay in LA and be traitors to Brooklyn."

Strong words, Steven.

"Well, it'll be on the table in case you change your mind." Which Steve Rogers was famously known for, right?

"I'm not going to change my mind," Steve smiled as the steam started lifting from the tub.

"Tub," Tony said, giving him a little shove to just back burner his plan to buy Steve a sports team sometime in the future.

Steve would be happy coaching Little League, Tony!

"Tub," he confirmed, lifting his shirt off over his head.

...he could do that.

"Get comfortable, I need to make sure they bring the pizza up here," Tony said with a distracted little sigh at all those lovely muscles.

Steve smiled. "You look a little distracted," he teased.

"I happen to have a very attractive husband," Tony replied like he was letting Steve in on a secret.

"Ooh, does he know I'm here?" Steve asked.

Tony laughed and shook his head to play along. "Of course not. I'd be in some serious trouble. It's his hotel."

"Wow," Steve said, whistling. "He must be some kind of moneybags."

Steven.

"Keeps me in the lifestyle I've grown accustomed to," Tony agreed, stripping off his own clothing now.

Pizza could be an after thought.
