Tony had promised to go all out for Steve's birthday and goddamnit, he was doing just what he promised.

He'd probably have to get JARVIS to not spill how much it cost, though. Yeah, that was going on the list.

But it was more than worth the view, watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee while Steve finished up his usual morning marathon.

"You're easy to spoil when me manhandling you makes you this happy," Steve teased.

"It makes me feel... smaller," Tony said, pulling him down onto the bed. "In a good way? If that makes any sense."

"Taken care of?" Steve suggested.

"Exactly," Tony replied, pulling him down for a kiss.

"Good," Steve said when he came up for breath. "That's what I'm going for."

"Yeah?" Tony asked, smiling and arching his back to press up against him.

"I don't want you to feel fragile," Steve said, kissing down Tony's chest. "I want you to feel cherished."

"I cherish you too," Tony said. He sighed and closed his eyes as Steve moved. "Every moment you trust me to take care of your needs."

Steve left a slow trail of nipping kisses down to Tony's navel. "I tell you about my needs," he murmured. "That's a pretty rare thing, for me."

"It's humbling," Tony replied, running his fingers through Steve's hair soothingly.

Steve blew a breath along the wet spot he'd just sucked. "It's just me."

"Which makes it more important to me," Tony said with a little shiver.

"We're a pair, aren't we?" Steve said, unbearably fond, and kissed just below Tony's belly button before moving slightly lower.

Tony breathed in a stuttered little gasp at that. He spread his legs a little more to let Steve get closer still. "God, I love you."

"I know you do," Steve murmured, kissing his inner thigh. "Reach into the table for me, love?"

Tony made a high, keening sound as he shifted to do as he was asked without pulling away from Steve more than necessary.

"Thank god," he muttered, groping around for what he hoped was the lube.

"Little impatient?" Steve teased.

"I will kick you," Tony said with a startled laugh, tossing the bottle at him with no force behind it.

"I will move," Steve teased, leaning down and blowing a raspberry on Tony's stomach.

Which only made him laugh more, flopping back against the bed breathlessly. "You're terrible. The absolute worst."

"You love me anyway," Steve said with a little smile, absolutely secure in that knowledge.

"I do," he granted Steve graciously, running his fingers through Steve's hair as he smiled down at him.

Steve popped open the little bottle and warmed the gel between his fingers. "Good."

"Never doubt that," Tony said, still petting his hair.

Steve smiled and kissed Tony's stomach. "I won't," he murmured, sliding his finger between Tony's legs.
