JARVIS and the Mouse overlord had pushed some older movies up into Steve's List of Things to Watch to Understand Tony's References. Though some of them may have just been added because healthy levels of strife were good for the soul.

"Couldn't we watch that new Space Battles show?" Tony asked, concerned for Steve's taste levels here.

"This better be entertaining, Rogers."

"I'm sure we'll laugh," Steve said. "Just...maybe not where we're supposed to."

"A suitable date night," Tony decided, settling in against his side.

Steve reached for a handful of popcorn and held out a piece in front of Tony's mouth. "There's car races where they just smack into each other?" he asked, confused at the opening credits.

Tony grinned at the feeding, before taking the popcorn. "Bad racing is."

"These cars seem...really large for racing," Steve observed. "Not that I've seen a lot of race cars other than the ones you have. And other you has."

"We can hope that maybe it's meant as a challenge?" Tony ventured,

"Maybe," Steve said as the Objectively Handsome Male Lead began shouting about his racing career.

"We should do racing sometime." Tony, no.

[heroic_jawline]

"That sounds fun," Steve said optimistically, then frowned as the Pudgy Mechanic talked about his vision quest to Tibet. "This movie is really weird."

They hadn't even gotten to buying the sentient Volkswagon, Steve. Hold on.

"I think people were on a lot more drugs back then." That nebulous era between them both.

"Clearly," Steve said, looking a little wide-eyed at the screen.

Tony tilted his head as nothing about this got any better. "Steve, did you pick this movie?"

"No," Steve said, frowning. "I thought you had."

"Steve. I have better taste than this." Ish.

"Of course you do," Steve said, giving Tony another piece of popcorn. "So who picked this out? Patriot?"

"It's between him and JARVIS," Tony replied, humming happily as he took the popcorn. It was oddly soothing.

Steve, encouraged by the hum, was just going to keep that up, then. "JARVIS?" Steve asked, a smile in his voice. "Did you want to watch the movie about the sentient car?"

"Reviews state the film was a Classic," JARVIS replied primly.

Steve laughed at that, grinning at the ceiling. "We'll keep going, then. For you."

"You softy," Tony murmured against Steve's shoulder.

"It's why he likes me," Steve murmured back.

"I don't know with this movie," he teased, making hopeful eyes at the popcorn.

"Maybe your dubious taste rubbed off on him," Steve teased back, popping another piece of popcorn into Tony's mouth and starting a scalp massage mostly because he could.

"Rude," Tony said even ad he made another pleased noise for all that pampering.
